    Procrastinate with me- Answerful

Take a break, have a cup of tea (to keep your hands warm), run your feet under hot water in the bath and then put on fluffy socks. Find a mini heater and put it on full-blast. And, of course, put on some motivating music (I personally like "Canned Heat" by jamiroquai) and jump around a bit...

    Procrastinate with me- Answerful

I like to hang out with my mum when I'm procrastinating, because she's awesome and always tells me how hard I'm working and so I deserve some "time off". Thats the one thing I miss about living at home. I also procrastinate with my youngest brother and watch YouTube videos of skaters stacking...

    PSY tutor needed

I'm assuming when you say 'reference list' you're meaning a bibliography? If so, then you only ever put the articles you have actually cited in your work. Its not like high school when you could make your source list look absolutely massive by putting books you had read one sentence from (the...

    400/500 Law Electives

Woah, Tabris! I should've waited for your post! Well, I handed my essay this afternoon, for better or worse. Its gone. Melsc, I have a rule re: word counts. Firstly, minus every single heading/title etc from the word count (I figure if they want a report, then the headings aren't included in...

    400/500 Law Electives

I found this article helpful :) But its pretty long... just do a ctrl + f through it to find relevant parts. This essay is undoubtedly the fastest I have ever written. And in my opinion speed = quality. So this is pretty low quality. Oh well, I have other assignments piling up around my ears.

    Intellectual Property: Opinions?

I just saw this thread. Maka... all I can say is stay away. The convenor is... well, she randomly decides not to turn up to tutes and doesnt tell anyone, flies off the handle, and is generally vauge. After comparing notes with others who did the unit with the old convenor, it seems that the...

    400/500 Law Electives

... Maybe contact Rafiqul... because thats what I wanted to write about for the essay, reforming the Security Council. :s I hope I'm wrong about my suggestion for your sake! I've got a draft down, and like you guys, I have exactly 6 sources, all of which say pretty much the same thing. Did any...

    400/500 Law Electives

I'm starting on IL now. Have a rough structure in place.. just need to fill in the gaps! Just a word of (potential) warning. Dont focus too much on an organisation, like the UN, because this is what I asked to do for our 'free' essay (the final exam one). Rafiqul said it is not within the scope...

    400/500 Law Electives

Oh IWR you make me laugh :D I've done torts and EU law... now have IL and IO in the break which should be fun fun fun *cries* Plus I've got a group work thing for torts which needs to be organised by week 10 or something, so have to fit that in the break, too. I cannot wait until this semester...

    Psychology Honours

I haven't got much to add because Clairegirl, Cyan and Skittled covered pretty much everything there is to consider. But, I just wanted to add your sister might have to talk to a counsellor before she can withdraw anyway, so it might be a good idea for her to make an appointment with the...

    400/500 Law Electives

I agree that the elective choice is pretty poor.. very poor, actually. And what makes it worse in my opnion is that they will change the dates the unit will be held at the beginning of that year. So, for example, Trial Advocacy has, since the 2006 handbook, been set for 2008. But in January this...

    400/500 Law Electives

Hey Maka I just realised you're the one who started that other thread! I totally didnt realise! :) Torts is great, Penelope Watson is fantastic! I wish I had her last year for remedies (but she was on sabbatical). I would recommend advanced torts because its the more interesting torts (in my...

    Degrees at 2 diff unis

Not that I can really help, but here is my .02 re: LLB. As Rob (Pwar) said, the only way to do a straight LLB is to be external. Its the same with most unis nowadays because, as Rob said, your job prospects are severely limited as an external LLB...*also waits to be flamed*... Unless you already...

    400/500 Law Electives

I've put IL on the backburner because I have EU and torts due before then. But I've done some reading for it and it seems like it will be pretty straight-forward in terms of answering it... Just a matter of getting the sources together and actually producing the work. But at least its a...

    400/500 Law Electives

Pretty stressful already to be honest. I'm already behind in readings, have got tutorial presentations coming out of my ears, trying to get a vague start on at least one assessment (because they are all due in the same fortnight) to ease the workload... and I'm only working one day a week...

    400/500 Law Electives

You pretty much answer the question (well, start to answer it) in this weeks tutorial. I found it daunting too, until my tute on Tuesday and it all fell into place... ... and I discovered one of my friends who did it last year is going to share her answer with me (because it made up part of...

How to enroll in 5 subjects per semester

If you're first year they wont let you do >14cp. Otherwise, download the form that maka mentioned, and take it to any academic in your division (EFS?)... but its always easiest to take it to the academic advisor. Good luck :)

    400/500 Law Electives

group work is the absolute most shit house creation and poor excuse for 'teaching' ever created. But I'm doing it with my 5 closest uni friends (with whom I usually do the whole sharing of notes for take home exam thing) so group work isnt completely vomitous to me in this particular instance...

    400/500 Law Electives

Torts seems pretty good; we do what are called "injuries to dignity", so that includes defamation, privacy, sexual abuse, bullying, wrongful life etc. I get the impression that policy considerations will be the main focus; for the first assessment we have to write an executive summary ala ALRC...
