woman tattoos "do not resus" on chest

You need offical NFR/Critical Orders that are signed by doctors, the patient/legal guardian, and only after social workers and psychologists and psychiatrists etc to ensure the family and pt know what the consequences are, what other options are available and so on and so forth. Obvisously it's...

What's your job and how much you earn?

Uniforms, meals, travel -- all that type of stuff :) People who work in isolated areas get the isolation allowance too, and extra if you work in Tibobourra or Ivanhoe. Theres more allowances I just can't remember them :)

    hello all!

I'd consider it, and a few years ago would have jumped at it. I don't know now, maybe years and years down the track, but not now. I'm very happy nursing atm.

    hello all!

You can do your 3 year B. Nursing course and then start the Grad.Dip Midwifery, which is 12 months - you get paid for it and are employed by a hospital while doing it. Pretty sure you spend most of your time in the hospital. The 3 year course is completeley separate, and you don't need your RNs...

    hello all!

yes, it can get dirty, especially depending on the ward/specialty you're working in. If you can't stand the sight of blood, I dont know who well you'll go. After all, blood is nothing compared to what you'll normally get. Urine, faeces, IDCs, Colostomy bags, sputum, vomit. It's not why we get...

    Transferring

You can just do B. Midwifery if you wanted to, it's a 3 year course and you're a Midwife at the end of it. Otherwise, I think UTS might have maternal health subjects, look on the website in course structure for nursing.

    hello all!

hey, what was the STAT and personal statment people where talking about? I'm doing my ENs atm, and am seriously considering not doing my RN's first and just going straight into Midwifery. I know it's what I want to do, but I also know my UAI (from 2003) isn't high enough. Does anyone know how...

    Nursing/Middies at Wagga

Does anyone know if CSU plans on bringing this course back in 2007? And does anyone here actually do it, or know anyone that does? I'm trying to figure out what would be better - 3 year B Nursing + 12 month Grad.Dip.Mid or the combined course? I'm liking the look of it at Wagga, but was hoping...

Where do you want your degree to take you?

If you want to work in Child Protection, don't go to DoCS - they are useless fucks. If you want to work in Child Protection as a social worker, work in Community Health or, if you want Just Child Protection, go for the Child Protection Unit at the Kids Hospital.

    need job :(

Mate, I figure if you really need work, then go and work at a fast food joint. If you don't wanna work at a place like that, then you don't really need money, you just want extra cash. Like I said, I spent about 4 or so years in fast food in high school, and because of that experience, I got...
