    Cubby Level Five Wentworth

I'd pick the table over HSC 4 Life only if it was made up of more than 96.85% of her. Yup, wonderful editing skills - I made nothing short of a fool of myself

    Med and engineering combined

Well regarding the Usyd course thing - well 3 years for the undergraduate science degree, 1 year for honours (possibly), then 4 years for MBBS is probably the most standard route. However, there is the opportunity to take 2 years out after having completed the first half of the MBBS degree, to...

    highest UAI in history!

I think you'll find it was achieved by one Dr Anthony Henderson from SGS in 1993. He was another all-round genius who excelled in 4u maths, and the classics. He's now a postdoctoral fellow at Usyd School of Maths and Statistics.

Chem 1102 Question.. dont open if you dont care :p

ammonia's nucleophilic because of the lone pair of electrons on the nitrogen. Same reason why water is nucleophilic.

diff between chem 1101 and 1901?

it's pretty darn easy to stuff up an organic synthesis. There are many fine points to note there, and since you're assessed on yields and purities of your samples in 2nd semester by mal, and since what you end up with in terms of sample is determined by a force greater than you can comprehend, I...

diff between chem 1101 and 1901?

Yes, velox, concentrate on HSC/med entry stuff for the moment. Thinking too deeply about the back-up options is pretty useless until it's required.

    Medical Science/ Engineering

with that combination of majors, it appears that you'd be suited to a biomedical engineering degree as templR has suggested. I haven't really met anyone combining BMed(Sc) with engo, but it's natural in some ways i guess.

    Med students: Money matters

Moneywise, scholarships are nice. With about 30 contact hours/week it's hard to fit a job in there, especially with large amounts of personal reading/study to keep up. I plan to get a job each holidays + do a bit of tutoring just to have some independent income and gain experience I suppose. I'm...
