I think SAM's desperately trying to organise some bands (otherwise they would have been announced already). Thus far Cog and supports and The Suitable Few. Expect a couple others...maybe The Bird - they seem to love playing at MQ.

You mean EFS. Well they have 6 months of SAM money so maybe we can expect half the size of a proper Conception Day. I think Conception Days will continue in the new VSU era, but it'll be a mere shadow of its former glorious days. I really couldn't understand SAM's (or Di Yerbury's)...

I do know of people being ahead...a mate of mine would read 3/4 of the textbook before semester starts and subsequently get an HD. But those types are few and far between.

I'd definately recommend Manhatten...apart from the obvious touristy things like empire state building, statue of liberty...check out some of the interesting neighbourhoods like east/west village and Soho. Definately visit San Francisco: Mission district - the home of hispanic culture, artists...

Haha, very eclectic tastes there mate. From Scary lookin bands (I'm assuming metal/metalcore/hardcore/grindcore/industrial kinda music) to Utada Hikaru.

UNSW isn't my uni, but I've been there a few times. The food at UNSW isn't too bad. Certainly better than the stuff at other universities in sydney. And there's a cheap steak (5 or 6 bucks) at a pub down the road (not Anzac Pde but the other street which I can't recall the name of.

I'm gonna stop complaining about work after looking at everyone else's wages. I get $22/hr to work at a lending desk of a uni library (rather cruisy). This semester I'm gonna do 5 hours every Sunday which is the quietest day ($38.50/hr).

Well, you're already paying for it through SAM fees, it takes 1 minute to sign up, and if you don't have one you don't get savings for food at uni. Why would/did anyone choose to not get the card?? www.sam.org.au You can pick it up at the atrium monday-friday before uni. Probably SAM spot...
