remember the actual marks your school gives as assessment marks wont really matter, as they will be scaled eventually anyway. only your rank and the gaps in marks between candidates matters. although i dont know the situation at open high with rankings and all.

the harder 4u was the handout at the end with all the wallace's product and fundamental theorem of algebra business. we went through it and hardly anybody followed. yeah coroneos is good, but i dont reckon his explanations are good enough for the average 4u student. cambridge already has a +...

yes from tutoring ive found the lack of good 4u teachers a problem and they're arent any really good 4u books on the market (we weren't able to convince pender to do one last year :( ) anyway, patels prob best for understanding, arnold + fitzpatrick for questions, coroneos for harder questions...

lol binomial expansion. im teaching my brother this. (x+2)(x-5) = x(x-5) + 2(x-5) [after multiplying out] = x^2 - 5x + 2x - 10 = x^2 - 3x - 10

if a and b are roots of a monic quadratic, then the quadratic is (x-a)(x-b). thats it. I dont know how to explain any further

if they say its monic (coefficient of x^2 is 1), then u write it in the factored form, ie f(x) = (x-2)(x+5), then expand if they dont say its monic, u can only find a quadratic with those roots, as there will be infinitely many
