you should get together with some other first years' going to usyd!!
you'll make friends easily, join some mentoring program or something. remember alot of people are in the same boat as you and are strangers to everyone else. you'll fit right in! LOL!!
check this website out for infomation on the BeBus degree...

you have to pick a strand which you want to study. most of them have many first year core units in common!
the macq uni handbook is organised pretty bad!! for a first year student, you wouldn't know the divisions for what falls under what, i didnt' even know the division names. they should list things in alphabetical order regardless of division, school or department. it would of made things easier!!
i considered taking a laptop to uni! then i'd had to buy one. but in the end, i didn't!! sure it would of been better, kept your notes organised better, but writing seems better. and plus not many people bring laptops to uni!!
are you sure about the difference thresholds?? because i went to apply to centrelink to youth allowance, the lady just asked how much my parents earned and she said no straight away!!
actually both BIT and BeBUS share the same compulsory subjects, that being COMP115, COMP114, COMP125 and MATH135.
as for trasnferring into BeBUS, you need a GPA of 2.5, NOT 2.0.
i'm not sure on the marks you would need, i'd guess a d average should secure you a spot depending on how far you are off the UAI needed for the trasnfer course.
as for trasnferring, they would consider your UAI as well as your first year results. both results are weighed equally.
good luck to you cyan on chasing usyd back for your money... it took my friend about a month to get his money back...
usyd's first year enrolments are stupid because you have to pay upfront, unlike the other uni's where they give you a set deadline in mid feb!!
yeah around 1500 students in first year.. well that was last year anyways..
the lectures are repeated 3 times a day.. so its not crowded in the lecture room!!
ah another soul who wants to be told on what to do.. hahahaha
i know how your feeling!!
i'd pick MACQ as well, but since you have to travel as far as me, maybe uws won't be so bad.
yeah its best to ring up the uni than talk to us randoms....
you should really check up on your enrolment because you don't want to find out that you arn't enrolled because you did something wrong. you have no argument against the uni because your resposible for your enrolment and subject...
yes they are the same faculty, but as melby said, you need to have satisfied the other degree requirments to trasnfer internally. each faculty has their own internal trasnfer policy, but most require you to apply thru uac and compete for a spot!!
well you have to satisfy your degree requirements (i think thats 192 credit points for your degree) and complete the core units engineering and for arts.
i haven't a clue of what the engineering core units are, but as long as you pick them, you will satisfy the course requirements. as for...
you can trasnfer from BEc to BCom after first year thru UAC. but remember you will competing for a spot with this year's cohort and it might be much more competitive.
they take account your uai and your first year results. to gain a spot in BCom, you need a distinction average. i'm...
