First of all, keep your head up. I don't know many people who failed 200 last year.
As for getting the waiver? I'm going to be truthful and tell you that there's no way in hell they'd allow it. Maybe if you got 47-49 with good marks in 272 or something like that. Unfortunately, they wouldn't...
- He won't give you anymore past papers, so stop searching for them.
- if you have the textbook, use it
- revise all tutorials
- Good luck, because the exam will be damn hard !
Now that I see it I think they want you to use the central limit theorem (not the inverse CDF method) So:
- add up a whole bunch of numbers from the table (say 20)
- divide each number by 100,000 (I'm assuming that table is ~ U(0,100000) )
- The 20 numbers are now ~ U(0,1). Add them up and...
If you post the question I might be able to help.
I think you're on the right track but it looks like you've calculated a two sided probability. You need to calculate a one sided probability since the CDF is P(X<=x).
STAT272 - Most people say the book sucks but I disagree. There are plenty of exercises which I think are needed since the tutes don't suffice. It also doubles over as the required book for STAT271.
COMP115 - Can't comment but I didn't buy it and I didn't need it.
ACCG253 - Compulsory. Tute...
But beheading schoolgirls doesn't? When you see this it makes the intended executions of the Bali 9 members simply unacceptable.
You can't compare ice and marijuana.

... the same as Schapelle Corby. Goes to show what a crappy backwards country Indonesia really is.
I believe Corby was guilty, but her sentence was bullshit. This is the same country that lets Abu Bakir Bashir walk the streets spewing hate and encouraging terrorism.
What kind of backwards country imposes a dramatically harsher sentence on someone smuggling a natural plant?
Answer: the...
ACST200
Online quizzes: 10%. Final Exam: 90%!!!
After completing ACST255 I realised that ACST200 was nowhere near as hard as I thought it was. Make sure you have practiced doing 17+ mark questions before entering the exam (obvious tip: do the past papers from an external website which Jim...
Can someone please enlighten me on this incident? I've been looking on the net but I can't find the reason the dictionary moved away.
EDIt
I found something: http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,20867,20572470-12332,00.html
Interesting stuff.
Anyone know anything about:
ACST300
ACST356
ACST354
ACST357
ACST305
ACST355?
... even a short line or two would be cool.
As a return or service does anyone want to know about first or second year ACST units?
At Macquarie you can get exempted from Part II without getting all of your Part I exemptions. This is only due to the prerequisite structure of the course.
However, there is a difference between getting exempted and actually receiving official accreditation. The Institute would never award...
ACST305 used to require COMP115 but that's no more. I don't think you need to do a comp unit, but you should check the degree requirements in the handbook to be sure.
Unless you want to go to another uni, you are not nearly as screwed as you think you are. Don't worry.
And I wouldn't worry about job scarcity if you're doing an accounting degree. There are some comments about that particular degree here...
It does, but if you want to get Part II plus all the subjects required for CPA/CA it would probably take you 4.5 years.
Not really and I'll try to explain why, although this may not make much sense.
Applied-Finance is very easy to get because the actuarial course contains a sh!tload of...
Macquarie's marking system means that a 7 point GPA system wouldn't make sense. At Mac (from my experience) the difference between a HD and D is a lot smaller than the difference between a D and a C.
