Hey for the people who did it, can you guys...
I thought it was a metaphor of a ship. And the map of Darwin shaped like a nose, where the ship snuggled in. Meh. I didn't write about a dog, I wrote about a person, who had a childhood there. Dogs' childhoods doesn't sound apt.
i totally agree, it was said but not emphasised enough. Our school concentrated on only 2 readings. Me and my class are all stuffed up. Our teacher stuffed us up.
How was i suppose to know they wanted our own personal interpretation, whilst the readings are only optional thing to include. I'm...
Darn, I rang the HSC advice line too, and they did said that they wanted a personal voice; your personal interpretation, and the specific perspectives doesn't matter :'(
So what are you guys going to do about it if your teachers stuffed you up too?
Or what do you recommend?
Hey, I want to confirm something:
So, we don't need a definition of the interpretations, like where Marxist perspective comes from and what they focus when they interpret a text.
Is that true?
Disagreeing is allowed. Why would they ask 'do you agree', instead they should say 'support this quote with the text you have studied about journeys this year', or something like that.
Yes
I was like 17/48 for chemistry
Now I'm 5/48, which was in no way affected by the prelims
Conversely, same deal with Biology
I was like 4/60
Then I dropped down to 15/60
Dam!
^ Actually that was one of the 4 stories I wrote in the year, and it was because my friend had suggested it. It was about a boy in a space travel :P
I don't know if it was cliched or not though, but since my friend had suggested it I avoided it.
the questions were so broad for creative.
Many people would have wrote about a travellor, they just needed to add feelings of their curiosity, and then their prepared story
