Actually, most calculations are fine (that I can think of)! Its the "you got to really know your physics and can't fluff" questions (from looking at all my past papers and actual exams, the accumulation of 3 markers get me!)
I tend to ask for help from outside the forum, mainly because I need...
If I could, I would never show up to Physics. But I want an ATAR ; u ; So trying my best is my only option!
I love love love long responses (5 - 6 markers) in Physics!
I would say that for the core topics, my strength lies in the bigger mark questions. Mainly because all the smaller mark questions require so much actual physics knowledge to be compressed properly, whereas a 5 marker would be like "Draw a photocell and tell us how it works!!! AC over DC...
In all honesty, I think the content is manageable (kind of, better than what I started with and you have to remember I'm not a Band 6 Physics life person...I have low standards...) but I actually find interpreting some questions and actually figuring out what they want me to write.
My option...
I actually have no idea what General Maths did until I saw a snippet from my Maths teacher (who is with General in 2017) and I saw basic maths we did in Year 7 - 10, so I'm assuming thats way too far from Engineering maths in terms of level and skills.
They definitely regretted dropping MX2 but at least they have the chance to do a bridging course to catch up on both topics and the skills. The difference between what a General and an MX1 student learns is probably huge (in skill as well, not just the topics)
To be blunt and straight to the point, Engineering with just General maths isn't going to be saved with the bridging courses.
I know people who didn't move into MX2 and only do MX1 are worried they will not cope with Engineering and are behind (but at least they have a smaller gap to chase up...
Right before the exam, as in a few minutes before I walk into the exam, I pace around and do breathing exercises to actually calm down (no talking to other people who are stressing themselves out with cramming).
Otherwise, for the day before (also depending on the exam as well), I would be...
Last time I went to ATAR Notes for trials, it wasn't really content-focused, rather it was focused on tackling the exam.
IMO, you have nothing to lose with attending ATAR Notes because its free. Otherwise, I actually recommend working with your cohort (study groups and all) to build everyone...
Relax.
You need to understand that what I just said was someone who actually studied my ass off (especially for Economics since I learnt the first two topics by myself) because I was continuing the momentum from my accelerated course and now I'm at the end of HSC, close to burning out (I...
