Haha this was basically me last year!
You said going through med would be a drag. Well, actuarial studies isn't as easy either as after the degree (4 years of uni for parts I and II) you need 3 years of work experience (many people don't even get jobs as actuaries and need to go into insurance...
I joined boxing society and magicsoc haha, both of which are cockfests. (idm that much)
But apparently the girls in Taiwanese society are kewl. (heaps of non-chinese friends joined just for that + the freebies LOL)
hai,
I bet she's almost filled up all her tutoring positions but nuff said Jenny is one of the most dedicated, eloquent and approachable people you'd have the pleasure to be tutored by. So don't hesitate to get in!
She has the bored_of_hsc stamp of approval! (though i don't think that counts...
Re: Semester 1 UNSW Chatter Thread 2013
Everyone else pumped for uni? Too bad i can't remember any maths from hsc hahaha (that's bad as i'm doing a maths HEAVY course)
I haven't started uni yet, but the feeling of being in a new environment isn't really alien to anyone. Anyways, just give it time as feeling self-conscious about these things is something i'd imagine most kids to be feeling. If you're still experiencing this in 1-2 weeks then seek more advice...
What does this even meant to mean haha? Do you believe that self-righteous attention seekers would make the best group of friends?
Why not dedicate your time to another society you're interested in?

Both schools are public institutions and thus should serve PUBLIC interests. Other solutions...
Yes! Great show, watched the first 10 episodes of it just yesterday. I love political dramas such as this and Game of Thrones.
Out of curiousity, where do you watch it? (netflix doesn't operate in aus so i was wondering if there was any other way of getting it bar torrenting)
Those actually sound good :)
I guess some others are:
- Get a hobby, just something to distract you and make you happy (i'd go on long bike rides lol)
- Have a solid support network (say people closer than a psychologist who you can talk to more conveniently) to simply let all the problems...
Earlier in the holidays: Godot (Beckett), The stranger (Camus) and The Great Gatsby (Fitzgerald). All quite interesting reads.
Now i'm halfway through the first book in 'A tale of fire and ice', 'A game of thrones'. It's quite slow but i'm probably only feeling that because i've seen the tv series.
