Are there any good reasons that you prefer UTS over Macquarie? Just curious since many people seem to say the same that UTS Business > MQ's when MQ have a good finance/actuarial reputation. Perhaps due to the availability of honours?
I've been considering transferring as well but MQ's...
D, Cr Cr, P.
I got a P in Marketing lmao, still not sure how I flunked that, must've meant I got <55% in the final exam lord bless.
What do you guys use to calculate WAM? is it just the average of the SNGs for all of your units completed?
Which one? AFAS200? I switched to that one since it sounded more interesting.
Some people have said on the MQ Facebook group that there are no exams for this one right?
So here's what I've gathered from the recommendations:
People:
PHL137 (Critical Thinking)
AFAS200
Planet:
ISYS100
ECON131?
Heavily considering to do Critical Thinking. @Blitz why do you recommend AFAS200? Doing another finance unit sounds ew.
Hmm, still not sure if I should pick a People/Planet unit as I haven't done it yet, or still save it.
Doing ACCG250, ACCG200 and STAT150 so far. Any suggestions on People/Planet units that have preferably: no exams, easy & interesting content/assignments? I've seen suggestions on ISYS100 and...
I have a couple of friends that are deciding to do 3 units instead of 4 for second year. Now that I think about it makes sense, with units getting harder and workload increasing for each one, as well as the better potential to look for part time jobs/internships to develop your resume. If it...
the assignments and tests are nowhere near to the level of theory of the lectures (as in they're easier). some of the questions in the homework are pretty hard as well
idk my tutor doesn't go through even half of the questions so it makes shit really confusing
AFIN102 is pretty hard imo, at least for a first year subject. I've heard it's been called to be the (or one of) hardest 1st year units. Probably wouldn't do it unless it was a pre req. I got complacent in the early sem but the content is genuinely hard to understand, especially with it being...
Does anyone have any idea of how to cite a published article entirely on the commentary of another author? The entire article is the commentary https://www.lego.com/en-us/aboutus/news-room/2012/january/lego-group-commentary-on-attracting-more-girls-to-construction-play

Speaking of academic aims, how important is it to get HDs/Ds in your subjects compared to just Cs?
I am doing Accounting + Finance. Finance is tough as they don't hold your hand as much in this unit, but I think if I found more motivation I'd be able to catch up. I'll keep it for now thanks.
Make sure he's/she's up to speed with everything, that means understanding basic concepts. If you want to get ahead with content you need to already understand your prerequisite knowledge. Use past papers to your advantage. Then if you want to get ahead with content look at stuff that they would...
