Re: Top 200 Schools - Daily Telegraph
oh no tech have dropped a couple of places :(
we keep dropping places every year, bit by bit
how well have girraween and caringbah done
fort street have gone down pretty hard, thought they were always top 20 at least
agree
why take away something that is really useful and of revelance to more students and spend money on something that really isn't that necessary? dont see the point in free mini laptops
yeh we started week 4 with complex numbers
havent done that much tho, we're up to vector rotation and stuff, still got locus, de moivre and complex roots to go
btw how did u know when we started?
hey im doing the same question except on ireland (and im pretty sure everyone will too, compulsory part of syllabus)
in my case study im gonna use the syllabus dot points as subheadings - international convergence, economic growth etc. that way u address the syllabus and answer the question...
i felt so happy when i handed in my sub selection form to drop physics. even tho i still have to attend physics classes til week four, it feels great in class
but yeh there is a tinge of disappointment knowing that if i had put in time and effort it would have been different
legal studies and business studies aren't very 'high' scaling subjects, and since you are uncomfortable after their prelim courses it is hard to tell which one to drop. since u have a shit biso teacher and only six in ur legal class i think it might be better to drop business, hopefully u will...
thats awesome, u'll learn the course real quick. i think there will be around 10-20 ppl in my class. but would having two ppl doing the course be an advantage when calculating and scaling the marks?
i knew someone who did 4u maths and english. he got a uai of 96, 97 ish. i was considering doing 4u maths and english until i found out that u had to do a minimum of four subs, i was thinking of doing three subs for 10 units. now that i think about it, that would have been too risky...
i think...
nah, i dont find quarter to eight that bad. its much better than after school, where ur tired and everyone else has gone home and ur stuck at school. i think early morning is good for learning :)
its just cos its take me 40 mins to get to school, so i will have to wake up earlier
it will be...
hey is anyone here doing extension courses or any other subs that are out of line? fortunately for me ext english is on line but 4u maths is not, and i will have to have some periods real early in the morning (at a quarter to eight!!!! :( ) if so, what times?
since u think ur handling the workload pretty well, keep 13 units. after some time u will have a better idea of what to keep or drop, try waiting til u do ur first hsc assessments
your uai is 50 per cent school marks and 50 per cent hsc exam. the ranks you get in yr 12 refer to your school marks, and are pretty important, cos u cant just bludge all year til the hsc - if u have a crap rank and u blitz the exam u prob do worse than say someone with a good rank but didnt go...
yes but only if u do well in advanced. if u do shit in advanced it would be better off doing standard e.g. a 75 in standard english would probably scale better than a 75 in advanced english
dont your subs complement each other? im not entirely sure, but i think those subs might interrelate and have similar content (physics and engineering) so that should help not hinder your workload. plus its only 10 units ull be fine
