Sections 1 and 3 can be studied for as:
Section 1 uses problem solving skills
Section 3 uses logical skills to recognise patterns
The tutoring is useful in the improvement of these skills, basically as it is something that improves if you practice i.e. the practice papers are useful...
dont get adv english excel book. heaps of ppl have them and hence the material and texts they used are just regurgitated in the hsc exam. so be different and come up with original ideas.
or you can find the other roots by finding the quadratics with roots z1 and z2, then use polynomial division to find a quadratic expression with roots z3 and z4
as coefficients are real one of the roots is -1/2 + root3 / 2 i
from here times z1 by z2 and by using the factor theorem z1xz2xz3xz4=e/a
and z1+z2+z3+z4=-b/a both z3 and z4 can be found
by the way left the working for you as doing the question yourself is much better for your learning...
On the train i used to do maths. Was difficult but definitely do-able. But you really need for there to be little other passengers on the train otherwise you may get in the way. I was lucky, coming home from school i used to be the only person in the carriage.
maths in focus is just diagnostic i.e. it is useful for revision. But for a challenge try questions from catholic trials. I didn't really use the textbook, but rather focused on doing as many past hsc papers as possible. Also spent all my time on 4unit.
Has anyone received an offer to the undergraduate MBBS interview at Bond? Don't think I actually want to go there but thinking of going to the interview purely for the purpose of practising for the post-grad interview at USYD. Opinions?
