Unfortunately, I reckon Brooks and Pearson are the most likely to be prescribed... Atwood and Keating are too popular for it to be of use for them to prescribe it (most people will be prepared with it anyways), and the other 3 have already been prescribed.
I agree with this. I don't do TS Elliot but I heard someone say that the reason we dont really get other text types is because it's not heaps explicit in the rubric, but apparently the new syllabus makes it really clear that they will be asked different text types.
So NESA could either:
a) Know...
Hmmm...
I thought this would be a melisma (where they change the pitch of the note whilst staying on the same syllable), but I'm not really hearing this rolly thing you're talking about...
In the second extract I can hear that she's rolling her Rs, and swooping up or down, which I wouldn't...
Usually what I've found with Mod B is that the question will have an overarching concept, and basically each speech has a different theme you can talk about that relates to the concept, so it's not too difficult to talk about a prescribed, as long as you have a main theme about it and know 3-4...
Hi,
I'm doing speeches and here's what I reckon:
I don't think they'll ask one they've already asked for - so probably not Saddat (I'd say definitely not for this one since it's only last year), It Is Still Winter at Home, On Not Winning the Nobel Prize
Also, I though it was interesting that if...
So I received a conditional offer (just need to FINISH the HSC exams) for Advanced Science at MQ. So it's great, and I'm happy, because I was told I could take my "gap" year (in which I wanna work and finished my Advanced Diploma for Accounting) and then start the degree in 2020 - by deferring...
Yeah, haha, I'm a bit worried about the department, but I got entry through a program, which means I don't need an ATAR (just to finish HSC). No way would I actually get 95 or above. And I can't go to Sydney or UNSW because it's pretty far for me, MQ and Newcastle are the closest ones for me -...
So I've been looking at this link here to figure out what course structure would be like:
https://courses.mq.edu.au/2019/domestic/undergraduate/bachelor-of-advanced-science-mathematics-specialisation/course-structure#content
I'm not sure if it's just me, but a while back I checked and it seems...
About the pathways thing, have you considered just doing it through TAFE Digital (formerly OTEN) next year? It's so much more flexible, and I know some people do even better with their ATAR through TAFE than through physical schooling.
I'm not sure if to 90+, but you can definitely improve that ATAR! You have 50% of everything left.
However, ask yourself why you need that 90+ ATAR. What are your goals? Are there any pathways, entry programs, bonus points or other unis that offer the same thing for lower ATAR?
I know pathways...
I reckon if you get English standard up to an 80 it'd be good... not to put you off but I've heard English standard doesn't scale heaps great. Do you know why you're getting 60%?
I'm not 100% sure, but I think external marks don't scale as much as internal tasks since everyone's doing the same test with what should be the same standard of marking. Can't confirm this completely though.
Is the 80 for legal an external mark?
