Actually I'm quite surprised that they suspended you for just failing five subjects. I'm not saying failing 5 COURSES is nothing, but I thought lots of people do fail these amounts of subject.
Or is it because UNSW is more strict on academic performance than other uni? coz I have lots of...
ECON1203 was REALLY REALLY hard last semester. I'm not sure what it was like in previous years, but if they maintain the difficulty for ECON1203 like we had last semester, then it probably won't be a good idea for you to do it as WAM booster. (you probably wouldn't believe how hard the final was...
To be honest back to back tutorial really isn't a issue. As long as class rooms aren't separate from one end of upper campus and lower campus, you should find it fine.
Normally tutor finishes class 5~10 mins before the schedule time, and starts class 5~10mins late behind the schedule time. And...
Math in economic degree can sometimes be harsh regardless how good you are at math. I'm currently doing economic degree and just completed ECON1202 last semester, and to be honest, I found it quite hard.
I did my high school in QLD and I had A for my Math B (that's 2U+3U math in NSW if I...
Just send a email or call them telling them your situation, normally they'll find a spot for you if the course is compulsory and the lecture is full.
I have a compulsory course this semester and I had trouble enrolling into the course because all lectures were full. I wrote a email to school...
As long as you keep your tutorial attendance above 80%, it should be fine. I once took a two weeks holiday during the uni semester, and everything went fine afterward.
But just like someone mentioned above, there are always some assignments needed to be handed in or mid-exam being set during...
Just remember to avoid classes between upper and lower campus. I used to have back to back tutorials between these two places and I swear to god I'll never select back to back classes between upper and lower campus again.
Especially when you have exam in the second tutorial that means you have...
Normally they don't take attendance for lectures (well majority don't, but some courses do take attendance for probably 5% of the grade)
My friends never go to lectures except for the last week(for exam details)
Normally they'll open the spots for you if you definitely have to do the course.
Few weeks ago I was selecting time for one of my core course but they were all full and I definitely need to do the course in following semester otherwise I might not graduate on time.
So I wrote a e-mail to...
As a UNSW student I would like to recommend UNSW but to be honest I don't really see any big differences bewteen two. It really depends on which atmosphere you enjoy more.
I go to UNSW simply because I do business degree and I like the architectural style of UNSW more.
UNSW generally are quite good in this kind of thing. When I did my 1A and 1B lecturer and tutor were really trying hard on explaining past exams and went through some of the questions with us, which were very helpful.
If that's case, I should've got UF(Unsatisfactory Fail) instead of FL(Fail), and even if I fail the final I don't think they would just mark your paper 0.
does anyone here have any ideas about my situation??
I was standing on 22 for my ECON1202 before entering the final(72%), and I just received my result with a fail of 22, which means I got 0 for my final?? how is that possibiliy going to happen?? Did the school miss marking my paper or what...
totally agree with you. The final was just absolutely retarded
We were asked to do all those past papers and tutorial questions, and ended up perhaps only 15% of these contents in the exam. (maybe even less)
And I still remember lecturer saying the final would be "heavily focused" on the...
That's what I thought at the beginning of this semester when people told me ECON1203 was easy when they did it. And the past papers I did were really easy as well. But they changed the structure of the exam a lot this time.
Yes we had three past papers with solutions(I even did a extra past papers just to make sure I have enough preparation), I did these past papers like hundred times that I can even memorize it backward, and the exam today was nothing even close to any of these past papers. Also they changed the...
Has anyone done the ECON1203 exam today? I think it was ridiculous.
Half of the questions were never seen or taught in the lecture or in the tutorial. And we only had 2 hours to finish this crap. I went home try to figure the answers with textbook and lecture side and I have no idea at all...
