^well said. I do feel that maths requires greater natural talent as it gets more complex in nature and hard work is not 100% rewarded unlike other subjects.
Dude, I dont know how you amazing you are in maths but get off your high horse. You can say maths is easy AFTER experiencing some harder...
That's really amazing, well done.
On the other hand, I worked about 25 hours weekly on average (not close to FT yet) and my term wam is 83 (90, 89, 79, 75)
But I would still argue that marks around 70 are good enough. I have 2 mates who are going to HK this summer for IB experiences (morgan stanley + some other one). They are sitting on mid 70 WAM atm.
Getting a job in Aus is difficult? Yes it would be very difficult without skills to sell...
Honestly, no need to learn Canto. English is very common in HK. For most firms, I assume English is only the necessary language. Secondly, no need to get 99 either. I am sure the job demand in HK is far much greater job demand here in Australia. 99? Nah. More like decent mark 70+ and nice...
^ i am 100% sure you can do 3 majors from comm/eco. new program statement confirms that too.

^Well alot of people comment on ACTL course saying that it's not very relevant and useless. But then again, alot of courses that we learn at UNI are not that relevant to work.
^Thanks Tim!!!
Umm...well I am looking for fairly urbanised area (i.e. city) because i love big city with lots of people! And in terms of uni, I am prob looking at strong business school since I do business?
Re: Out of these two "qualifications" which is more highly likelly to INVESTMENT BANK
^oh right. i forgot that he was doing comm/law LOL. but nah, i am alright. not interested in IB at the moment....hahaha
omg...why so many investment banking? Only very very few can handle the workload....
But since I need to keep the topic in mind, I think if you are doing Comm/eco or Comm/science for the sake of IB, just do normal comm and ace it. Oh, also get some work experience!!!
^but understanding the concept is way over general maths level. you are prob doing 1613 which is a joke subject (at least mathematically)
to OP: do what you are good at tbh. I honestly think that b comm + science is more appropriate for actuarial/typically finance job/trading etc.
Re: Out of these two "qualifications" which is more highly likelly to INVESTMENT BANK
LOL! yeah total fail, I didnt read very hard into what newbie said....
Investment banking division in retail bank?! you mean Institutional banking?
