I was just wondering what a raw mark of 92 for the exam would align to, this is what I got for trials but I've been studying like crazy and I think I might be able to crack a 95 if I go hard between now and the exam.
Thoughts?
It changes depending on the nature of the exam if its really easy the cut off will go into the 89-90 range, but if its really hard it'll go down to an 85. But usually the average band 6 is between 89-90 and higher
What if you're absolutely neck and neck with someone else, because I know that there is another girl at my school who is literally on the same ranks, plus we're both school captains. I'm doing 13 units and she's doing 12, but she doesn't want to go to UNSW. Its going to be either one of us, so...
To get a state rank, you have to get close to 98-100 in the exam including your PIP. So that means nothing wrong in the exam plus a flawless PIP. I know someone who got a state rank and she blitzed the exam and got full marks in the her PIP. So your looking at pretty much perfection
Probably one of the best exams I've ever done
Section 1 - 12 pages (17)
Section 2 - 12 pages (19)
Section 3 - 15 pages (20)
Still had 5 minutes to spare to read over all my work
Hoping for at least the above marks
I predicted the essay question to the tee, it was the exact one that I did a week before my exam, the image fit perfectly into my creative and the comprehension was okay.
Overall pretty happy with how I went.
15 pages for essay
9 pages for creative
6 pages for comprehension
Why is everyone going on about a feature article, what if they make you write a letter or a reflection or a series of short paragraphs with a rationale talking about the different types of belonging?!?
What do we do then?
Don't take panadols they can make you drowsy and you don't want that in the exam, you can however take rescue remedy before the exam, its a nature remedy to prevent stress and panic attacks you can get it at priceline :P
The notions of ingenious and truculent are not paradoxical in a sense, as they do not contradict, a person can be clever but they can also be violent - Dexter for example (weird example but you get what I mean) or Pol Pot
It would make it a paradox if he was diplomatic and truculent, but not...
This, I do a lot of essays - I've done 25 for belonging alone over the past few weeks but I have not intention of taking any memorised essays into the exam with me. Personally I think that it's much better to go in with fresh eyes and grab the ideas from all the essays instead of attempting to...
I've been having a look around at some questions for english and got a little worried about them asking for a different text type, i.e. speech a lot of the trials do it. What do you think are the chances it'll come up this year? Plus two related texts for Mod C >.< that shit freaks me out.
