Preferences are taken much into account when there is too much demand for a course. Your preference should be based according to your want to do a subject + the possibility of you getting into that subject.

86 people do religion?. Besides that, your ranks are not bad. Your english,religion and biology ranking stand out the most. I guess an 80+ atar is pretty possible, but i'm not too sure tbh.
For School Recommendation scheme to be considered by UTS, there must be a proven EAS. However im confused how an early offer is granted if the EAS is released on the 19th of Dec and ATAR released on the 15th of Dec. Shouldnt it be released before? so UTS can consider my early offer application...
