I completely ignored my estimate - it really depends on your subjects, your ranking etc etc
And the estimate is just completely raw- who knows how much you will improve over the next 4 weeks?!

3. B Arts @ Syd
:) I was pretty set on Media and Comm but since I found out about the socio-legal studies... I just don't know! :bomb:

After we did our trials we went and got an estimated ATAR based on previous year's performances and aggregates etc
There was absolutely NO POINT to it 'cos it didn't include scaling etc and wasn't based on our whole internal mark
But the estimated still freaked me out
'Cos I want soooo badly...
Hi guys :) so I posted a thread about this previously but that was before I got my official ranks, which just came in today. So does anyone know what kind of ATAR I would be looking at considering I'm at:
Eng Adv: 38/75 (about 77%)
Eng Ext: 14/18 (about 80%)
Math 2u: 24/41 (about 77%)

The most effective way to learn things... well, for me, I've found it's having some actual interest in the subject. And I truly think that is the most important factor determining your results. You can study all you like, but if you don't care about what you're learning, it's not going to sink...
Ha free stuff is pretty much the only reason I'm going, considering all my top preferences are for USYD! :haha: but i thought it could be good to check out another uni, get a feeling for it, plus a friend of mine wants some moral support ie doesn't want to look like a loner. :sun:
once you get logged on and stuff, registering takes SO LONG
there are so many questions! And I'm kinda worried I may have misread some because I was doing the application process while half asleep...
But it was good to get it out of the way, now it's time to focus on studying!
...Or not:haha:
No idea about Wesley, but I know a few people at Drews...
You will most likely be dropped off in the middle of nowhere and expected to find your way back home. Also be prepared for being tackled by huge rugby guys so they can get the brick you have been entrusted with off you. And there would...
Your schools have interviews for this stuff?? Wow... ours is done totally by voting.
Of course, we're all fairly sure it's rigged by some of the teachers who have pretty much already decided who they want as prefect by start of yr 11...
but there are heaps of leadership positions, because you...
Re: PIP Question: Do religious people find heavy metal evil? Gathering oppinions 4 p
I'm not religious, so this opinion probably won't help you out too much, but I personally find a lot of heavy metal quite offensive - some of the lyrics and things are incredibly disgusting.. but really...
hey guys I haven't gotten my official ranks but estimating on what they were from last report/how I've done since then:
Eng Adv: 25/75
Eng Ext 1: 13/19
Math 2u: 25/41
Bio: 10/33
Geo: 1/11
Modern: 10/49
My school was ranked about 20th last year, but was in the top ten the year before...
okay so this didn't happen to me (because I'm doing the HSC this year...)
But my teacher was telling me about a girl who was ranked pretty badly in english, only got about 75% for an internal mark, but ended up getting 95 for english overall
and she got over 90 in her ATAR too :)
I'm...
I'm not exactly sure, but isn't is a BOS rule that criteria is to be given at least 2 weeks before the assessment?
Maybe go look it up there, or at least just ask your teacher what was going on, because it isn't fair that you were doing an assessment according to different criteria than what...
I know plenty of people who have done AMAZINGLY in the HSC - over 99, got into their first choice at uni
and then they just lose it. Completely drop the bundle - depression, dropping out etc etc
because they pushed it too hard without having a goal in mind
so really, just work towards what...
My trial was meant to be today, but I was rather sick so I missed it...
But I need to do more past paper practice, all I've really done is re-write and read notes :)
Re: Trial Timetables?
mine's okay, i have a double on the first day but then singles every day after that :)
ours go for two weeks
and we get pretty good breaks in between, but it means that we finish some at like 5pm
but heyyy considering my trials are in 4 days, i should be studying for...
