That MAPLE question was annoying. I spent over 10 minutes just staring at that question, and then I decided not to use the MAPLE crap they gave, so I just found the inverse by reducing the matrix to reduced row echelon form. On the train home, I figured out that question was so easy. All you had...
I'm enjoying most of my 1st year engineering courses, except for PHYS1131. I really hope that there won't be any more courses like that in the later years.
I've finished Part 1 of the assignment, but my code is over 200 lines. As for Part 2, I have no idea how to tell if the Roman numeral is invalid.
For both parts, after writing the code and compiling it for the first time, I had so many errors that it took close to an hour to fix all of them.
It depends on which ENGG1000 project you picked. I picked the electrical engineering project and it's really hard. Our group is pretty screwed. We also have so many assessments that are only required in the electrical project, such as the project plan, the design proposal and the lab skills...
In COMP1911, we're doing loops right now. It's so boring because we've spent around 3 lectures (6 hours) on it. The lecturer said we'll probably get our assignment next week.
I really like the calculus component of MATH1141, but hate the algebra component (maybe because I actually understand what is going on in calculus).
I don't like PHYS1131 at all. It takes me so long to do one question. It's really funny how half the people love Prof J Wolfe and the other half...
Is this for MATH1141? Yesterday, my lecturer for MATH1141 told the class that we didn't need to buy the textbook because the course pack had enough questions already.
For PHYS1131, I bought the textbook today because the lecture notes were pretty basic and didn't have that much theory.
For...
Now that o-week is over, what did you guys think of it?
Overall, I found it really fun. However I'm a bit disappointed that I didn't get much free stuff. Also, some of the workshops were really boring.
Are there any free buses to and from UNSW during o-week? I remember reading somewhere that there would be free buses, so I ended up buying the MyTrain and MyBus tickets separately when I could of have gotten a cheaper MyMulti ticket.
