hmm if you havent learn radiasn let why is your calculator set in rads? haha
Yeah, watch out for that, one of my friends got fuked over in year 9 cause his little sister changed his calculator settings to rads before math exam ;p, but luckily the teachers picked it up and didn't penalise him...
My teacher said for chemistry the whole preliminary course is basically categorised as "assumed knowledge" for the HSC Chemistry course. Its true that most of the content will not be assessed on during the HSC course but its useful to have a strong foundation before you build the house - so to...
Thanks, and wow, they're lower raw marks than i expected
Edit: ..59-63/84 in 3u gets around 95+ doesn't look right... how can you get 20+ marks deducted and still end up with a mark being moderated to up to and inexcess of 95? I would've thought i'd be atleast around the 85%.
Hey Iyounamu, you seem to know alot about this kinda stuff. Would you have any idea of what raw mark (approximately) in MX1 you would need to get a moderated score of 95+, high 70s/84? Also, what raw mark in MX2 would get you 90+ and 95+? Thanks :ninja:
Pretty much for maths 2u and 3u, everything starting from yr 11 to the end of yr 12 can be assessed in the HSC. Hence, your own school chooses the order that topics are done. But usually, the easier and smaller topics are done in yr 11.
If you're willing to work hard, you should persist with 2u math. As suggested by others that posted above me, you might want to invest in a math tutor. Remember to always ask your teacher any problems you have in class and practice the questions that you find hard so you wont be caught off-gaurd...
lol half of sefton ext1 students go to the same math tutor, pretty competitive as far as math is concerned at our school, but the same one person always tops it lol.
Re: This October Holidays....
Its good to get a head in anything. Unless you're extremely confident in your courses for next year, i suggest any amount of studying wouldnt hurt?
Has anyone sat the UAC STAT this year? Is there any practice materials online i could access to practice (cant find any)? I'll be sitting for it on the 18/10, really want a good score for it :)
Any advice, hints and tips would be greatly appreciated!!
