work hard and mid 80's will be on the cards i reckon, you shouldnt be below the median rank for any courses considering your school ranking is in the 200's.
wow 135 students at your school do general maths o_O
since you're pretty much topping everything at school (goodjob) apart from maths, i suggest you drop it and go with 12units. If you keep it, it probably wont count towards for UAI since you're doing so well in your other subjects, also less units = less workload so you can spend more time...
it changes year to year according to the difficulty of the examination.. so you don't really know. However, if you really wanna know an estimation of what mark you would need in a particular subject then use "search" i'm sure past HSC students have posted about such things.
From what i know...

i reckon it depends on which you like better (ancient or modern), its more likely that you'll find something easier if you actually like studying it. Also since there is quite a variety of topics in both histories, it would depend on the topics your school chooses also.

eg. math3u 90% 5/50

hmm, it depends which course you aspire to do in university. I suggest you check out the UAC guide for any listed pre-requistes or assumed knowledge for the courses you wanan do at uni.
As for doing maths... if you like it then do it, if you have a mathematical mind do it (will scale well...
who are they kick you out of a course? I mean if you're getting 30% you should really consider what subjects that will help you to obtain the strongest uai possible for next year
anyhow, since you math 2u is "awesome", you'll have a strong foundation for 3u so i dont think you should drop maths...
i dont remember the statistics but every year, (correct me if im wrong) about 30%+ of people who sit for math ext get a HSC mark of 90+ (of course the raw mark would be considerably lower than this)
maths ext is not meant to be a easy course but if you struggle in year 11 i dont think its for...
