Nah, its good having IPT as an arvo exam, gives you more time to read through all your notes before hand and just keep going through all your notes and check out anything you dont know. Though l would rather have the test a bit earlier, say 12 cause l usually just want to get it over and done with.

From what the teacher on the HSC hotline said, for a Band 6 in Independent 2005, would require 84, though possibly a bit lower, l got 80 for Independent but some were just silly mistakes

Sometimes Band 5/6 is natural for some people even without a lot of study, l put myself in that category, l only plan to complete 7 papers (l always critically analyse them after with the suggested answers myself and l've already done 5) and just study the text, some people l know have done 15+...

From what you have said, since all the other guys in your class are crap and probably wouldnt get anywhere near 75, than your pretty safe in keeping your own raw marks and your moderated HSC mark wont be affected by them

btw for people who have done the past HSC papers, what mark do you usually get. I've only really started marking the ones l've done (using the marking scheme and Success One) and l try to align it closely with the scheme as much as possible and l got only 81 for the 2001 paper.

There are hardly any past year papers requiring you to do the calculations though l ring the HSC Advice hotline and check.

Yeah, that happened to me, the DSS assesment l didnt really put as much effort as l could of (since l had other tests l needed to focus on) so l could of came first with a clear majority if l had more time to just study

The part in IPT which l hate is the Information Systems & Databases though project work is extremely easy. Also remembering all the meanings of key terms is tough since there are a tonne of them but l'm just reading the text over and over again.

Yeah, l would also love to find out the raw marks required for Band 6, even a estimate would be good enough. OT but for the trials (2005), what marks would you need to get Band 6 for Independent and CSSA.

It could be me or does anyone else dont quite get why the majority of people on this forum are coming first and scoring 90%+. Perhaps the majority of users here might want to achieve a decent UAI unlike most of the people doing IPT for the sake of making it to 10 units. Anyway l came first...

Some textbooks have diff. information apart from this as well, for example the DFD is different in Jacaranda to the one required in the syllabus (since it doesnt describe the data between the flow).
