How will you commute to UNSW?

I wouldn't even bother going to that 9am lecture, tbh.

    Internet at UNSW

A few ground rules about Uniwide. It's unavailable in the colleges as making it so would put too much strain on the network as it is. Hence why college kids have to pay for their own. Don't fucking use torrents. It slows the network down and makes you an easy target for UNSW IT to fine or ban.

    Welcome new unsw asb students!

Half and half nowadays. Laptop at a university with free wireless is a very desirable thing to have.

    UNSW Co-Op Program

This. And also your marks will need to be satisfactory (distinction average+) as well considering its Co-op

    BCom (Liberal Studies) Enrolment

4 courses is the 1st year maximum so you're fine there. As for liberal studies, you can start picking subjects whenever you like. In your case, I wouldn't bother until Semester 2 to start thinking about it. First year is the year to get your compulsory courses done. After that, the rest of...

    Welcome new unsw asb students!

In lectures, both is fine. Laptops can be a distraction though. Study by doing practice questions if possible. Past papers can give an indication of what you might get in an exam, but in university, an 'indication' is all you're gonna get.

    Comm/Law - Quant Methods

From last I checked, you can now do QMA and QMB at the same time in Semester 1. You'll at least need to do QMB anyway in order to do that new economic analysis course?

    B commerce/economics timetable

Of course not! Rectangles is just a guide. Its only purpose is to show you options of how you can rearrange your timetable to suit your needs but its really up to your decision and also the availability of times for each of your courses that will dictate whether you get any days off or not.

    Really confused about enrollment

Newbies are just finding it hard to get used to the idea that they can pick and choose what they'll be doing each semester.

    ECON 1101 help

Exactly. Not until 2nd week that the fun begins.

    HELP comm/arts 2010

Your commerce majors are fine but I'd suggest going for one language and something else instead of two? As for Semester 1, refer to course handbook and just pick 3 core courses and an elective.

    ECON 1101 help

Going off your sig, micro 1 will be mostly revision (a la Year 12 Eco) for you anyway.

    Really confused about enrollment

This. At most, you should only be doing at most 2 electives counted towards your majors in 1st year. It's after 1st year that things start to get interesting.

    UNSW 2010 Rollcall

To be honest, you should really consider yourself as a nice change from the other law kids you'll be around. Law students will either do arts/law or com/law. Any other combination is a rarity.

    Welcome new unsw asb students!

No, its not. But how your university courses work is that essentially, there are prerequisites for higher level courses that obviously must be satisfied before you can do them. So basically, you need to get your core courses done first before you can do your 2nd-5th year courses.

    UNSW 2010 Rollcall

Highly impressive. And also, dare I say, somewhat suicidial? I knew this combination of degrees existed but I've never encountered anyone game enough to do it? If you can manage to cope, you'll be an absolute beast.
