Billy Snedden: Bad Liberal leader or worst Liberal leader?

You've missed the joke. WAF can't type, and I'm an arsehole who loves to catch people up on that to boost my own insecurities.

Billy Snedden: Bad Liberal leader or worst Liberal leader?

Actually, shouldn't the options for the question be: Harold Holt, William McMahon, Malcolm Fraser, John Howard (first term), John Hewson, John Howard (second term), Malcolm Turnbull?

Billy Snedden: Bad Liberal leader or worst Liberal leader?

Peacock's here but not Hewson? He was the best of the Hawke/Keating-era leaders. McMahon was pretty terrible too, even if he actually was PM. Downer was much too memorable to get my vote for worst, even though he probably was. I'll vote Nelson.

I doubt it. I can't recall the last time a new leader came to the party with such promise only to become so irrelevant. I really thought Turnbull was a good chance to knock off Rudd. Now I wonder how long until someone knocks off Turnbull.

Regardless, they do have some bearing. You can't say Nelson's poor poll rating wasn't a major contributor to his being tossed as Opposition Leader. Seeing Turnbull drop to 20% Preferred Prime Minister must surely leave a number of Liberal supporters worried. Including him, as that really is...

Rudd's $42 billion 'nation building' plan

In the Senate hearings today Brown asked a member of Rudd's staff if the possibility of reducing the GST during this period was looked into. The guy said that it hadn't, but previously the GST was examined and it was determined that the whole thing was just too complex to ever really touch.

Nsw state election : Who will you be voting?

All of those are different to drug laws, and you'd be a fool to make the serious comparison.

In his defence, it was asked of him during the COAG press conference "This girl's family thinks this should be a national day. Do you?" to which he could hardly say "No, that's retarded". I think a better question is could the media ever actually just ask questions at press conferences about...

Nsw state election : Who will you be voting?

Lentern sometimes shits me, but he's right on this. Everything Labor has been criticised for (excessive road privatisation, less funding for hospitals and schools, little public transport infrastructure, attempting to privatise electricity) are all things I believe the Liberals will do to a...

Rudd's $42 billion 'nation building' plan

The building infrastructure's quite good and all, but Rudd really needs to stop handing out these one-off payments.

Nsw state election : Who will you be voting?

Not really. All you have to do is look at the opposition benches.

Nsw state election : Who will you be voting?

You're right. NSW Liberals are more fucked up right now than NSW Labor (at least Labor has some gooduns in there like Tebbutt etc. the Liberals just have O'Farrell and then a bunch of fuckheads no better than Tripodi). They just don't have the same media attention. The power privatisation issue...

I don't know about that, we've only been around all of 2 million years, whereas others (eg. sharks) have been around for hundreds of millions.

    The Inauguration of President Obama

Re: The Inguration of President Obama A reporter on CNN asked some random in the audience how he felt. He mentioned his excitement to be there for the inauguration of the greatest president since FDR. The reporter had a very "moving right along" response there.

hypothetically speaking, if Bush was to run a 3rd term, how many votes would he get?

Re: hypothetically speaking, if Bush was to run a 3rd term, how many votes would he g 62? Same age FDR was when he ran for his 4th term (and we all know how that turned out!). But whatever. Even if he could've, he wouldn't have.

Should Nathan Rees resign or be sacked?

Re: Bookies takes bets on union boss as premier As someone who is an "I'll never vote Liberal in my life (unless they drastically alter their political philosophy)" type, I'll say there are shit, corrupt people in the NSW government. However, there are shit corrupt people in the Opposition...
