My teacher said great technical execution OR a great idea were good enough if the other criteria was adequate. So if they're really beautiful who cares if the idea isn't 'deep'?

Well, our school is a piece of crap; small, stingy and underdeveloped.
We do have a common room which is good only for its microwave as it's flooded.

Get to the art gallery of NSW to see a) artexpress and b) half light: portraits from black australia- will be useful if you're drifting towards something political or photographic. It's a great exhibition.
