I'd say it's worthwhile to invest more time on trying to actually understand the concepts knowing what exactly you're doing, and why you're doing it is quite important I suppose this would be more efficient than trying to do lot of questions without much appreciation of what you're doing

by having a brief look at them, I don't see too much variation in the phys and chem syllabuses esp. when you compare it to the new maths syllabuses, which overlaps with some of 1st and 2nd year university subjects which is why I said not only every thing has to change in high schools...

but it all comes down to one question: is it worth the effort and money?

lol it's a CASH handout people can [and probably will] spend it on anything

textbooks are not cheap and we're trying to replace ALL the textbooks in EVERY subject in EVERY school , for the WHOLE nation

there is definitely going to be a substantial amount of impacts in many areas , such as: the training required for all current teachers national wide, as mentioned in previous posts the writing of new textbooks to suit the new syllabuses, also the cost associated with updating textbooks for...

why do the names coincide with some of the VCE subjects? are they somewhat a variation of the current VCE syllabuses/syllabi ?

@Carrotsticks, this isn't really out of the syllabus , or is it? also 'if' and 'only if' can be proved basically using the same technique , right?
