if a person ranks first, and bombs the hsc by themselves and gets a 35, but the highest external mark is 85 then their FINAl hsc mark would be 85+35 averaged out

i thought that because there's 2 smart people in the class, the person in 1st would get the 2nd highest external mark, the person in 2nd gets the highest external mark, and then so they would have basically the same final hsc mark? i thought ur mark is only dependent on you and your rank, if...

i agree, A Levels is without a doubt the best system. Specialise in 3 subjects that YOU ENJOY, insane flexibility, only thing you do is mocks and a final exam also how well you do is dependent on you (and set grade boundaries idk the technicalities of that i see alot of people complain about...

depends what subjects u do mate honestly doing the difficult subjects like chem, physics, mx1/2, economics will be pretty hard without tutoring, not impossible tho.. you can do well anyways obviously without it
