I think this is the easiest way. In the second line, I multiplied it by 2 cuz I only used the top half of the area. I tried subtracting one line from the other and integrating in terms of the y axis, but it's too long and complicated. Hope this makes sense

for the second graph question, replacing x with (-x) causes the graph to reflect about the y-axis, and the y-intercept stays the same
