6!/2 (6P4) is invalid because you forgot that if you pick O or W the first time you have to put it back in but only those letters and only the first time (so you cannot have OWWW ). Basically if I’m pulling the letters out of a hat I’m twice as likely to pull out an O or W then any other letter...

nope that is not right, if it counts duplicates, then it would be 60 Case 1: 4 Case 2: 8*4 = 32 Case 3: 2*4*3 = 24 With replacement then it would be just 2*8*8*2 which is clearly even.

4 letter words: Case 1: both W - OWWO - 1 Case 2: one W - OW?O or O?WO - 8 Case 3: no W - O??O - 12 (4*3, since non replacement) So answer is 21, your textbook is wrong unless it counts duplicates.

I only mention it because I've heard good things about the engineering department at my uni; apparently UOW ranked #1 for learner engagement in engineering. (and #15 globally for mech engineering). So I would add it your list haha

UOW is probably slightly better at engineering than WSU. But definitely agreed with the remark for UNSW for Engineering. To add to this list: Mathematics: By far ANU is the best uni in Australia for maths, but if you don't want to make the move to Canberra, Sydney Uni is your best bet. UOW...
