    Some people may not have the capabilities to do advanced. Also in other schools, to get into advanced is quite difficult.

    That's a tad bit harsh. People who do standard can still get a great ATAR.

    Are you sure that is right? My friend got a raw mark of 55 went to ~71.

    Paper 2, I mean. I'm not sure though. My friend got 55 in standard last year and it aligned to a mark of 71. That's pretty impressive.

    I heard, from people that alot of people in Standard English, don't try. And plus the marking scheme is different.

    This happens to most of us. It happened to me aswell, I forced my self to study. Imaging going to uni and leaving Year 12 was my drive :) Also I had to beat my cousins ATAR's :D Which I ended up doing, so my point is, trying finding a drive. For me it was beating cousins, for you it might be...
