    Dropping Extension English?

Yep I think you could easily get a 99+ atar with those subjects. I dropped Extension English in Year 11 even though I was getting 85+ in my tasks, mainly because I found the content way too depressing and negative for me.

Feel Like I Cant Engage With Anything?

Yeah I kinda feel this way with subjects I find boring, or when the current topic within a subject is boring or feels pointless. My main way of getting around it is really trying to grasp concepts in chunks that are very small, or just sitting down for a long session and getting as much done as...

band 6 standard english, is it possible?

I would recommend whichever you think you would write a better essay for, which would hopefully convince them to move you up. I would also try to reference a text, multiple texts or quotes or something subject-relevant in the essay so that you can demonstrate that you have the ability to...

band 6 standard english, is it possible?

I would really try and push them to move you into advanced because it will be worth it in the long run. If they still do not let you, really just try your hardest and try not to let your classmates influence/distract you if they are not working at the same level or caring about the HSC. If you...

    Studying in the Morning=99.95

Yeah I did it once in year 11, ended up getting 90+ on something I should have failed. However the physical consequences for me were terrible. I was extremely tired for days despite getting 10+ hours of sleep on the following nights, it took at least a week until I felt healthy again.

Is my teacher holding me back?

Yeah if you are thinking about switching to advanced then do it now, you can always switch back to standard later but you can't switch to advanced later if that makes sense

    Optimising Past Papers

I agree and this is what I am doing as well. I think trying different methods of utilising past papers and seeing what works best for you is a good idea. I personally find that for some subjects I select certain questions related to specific topics while other subjects I complete the entire...

I do Matrix Chemistry and personally I find it extremely beneficial and helpful, I went from having an 80% average chem mark to 95%. I know that some people don't enjoy it as much but I personally find it great.

    Solubility Equilibria Question

Hello, does anyone know a good way to properly structure an answer to this question? Info: Indigenous Australians detoxify the seeds of cycads, which contain the toxin cycasin. The seeds are crushed to expose the inner kernel and then soaked in water to leach out the water-soluble toxins...
