Don't do it. Ever. Even in high school. The point of an assessment is to force you to learn things and actually study your course, not to test your ability to make stuff up.

BOS calculates marks to several decimal places. I find it hard to believe they'd round off school assessment marks before working out ranks.

I know any decent school would, I'm saying that I'm not sure whether it applies as a general regulation across all schools or whether schools are free to set their own procedures and policies.

Talk to your principal/director of studies/etc about it. They deserve to get zero if they're cheating, definitely. Not sure if BOS policy on cheating in exams applies to school-based exams though, I suspect it doesn't.

Depends on uni, different unis use different values (although 6 is a fairly common number) and also different terminology (e.g. at ANU you do a 'course' to earn 6 'units', as opposed to doing a 'unit' to earn 6 'credit points').

The reason we don't know what the cutoff for Band 6 is is that so far BOS has only been releasing raw marks in response to individual requests for their own results. There's no-one on BOS who has gotten a Band 6 in Standard and then requested their raw marks for our benefit. One could try...
