Hey when do we find out what textbooks we need for the courses? Also, laptops versus standard pen and paper for taking notes? Which one do your prefer? I haven't started my back 2 school shopping yet... I have like no stationary.

Good point. Now that you've mentioned it, I've stumbled across guides where the rankings of the unis are different depending on whether you are taking an undergrad/postgrad/doctorate degree. So the above posted data is probably just a generalisation and should be taken with a grain of salt.

No, I don't think so. The HSC Plus system is offered across the board, except for courses like law, so you would then expect that all the uais to unsw should be signficantly higher than usyd.

Omg...international rankings are the WORST thing to judge unis by. Their criteria is weak, superficial at the most (they had to sort through thousands of uni's). UAI's are also unreliable to judge a uni because they only reflect the demand of the course. Keep in mind that people are like sheep...

Not really. If you are concerned about reputation in regards to business/commerce, then you must go to UNSW. From what I gather (friends etc), no one in their right mind would go to usyd for commerce over unsw. If you look at it, the uai cutoff for unsw is higher than usyd in 2008 so there must...
