Can you complete the stat test in year 11?

Some Universities require it for entry into some courses. However Macquarie, USyd and UNSW do not use the STAT test in the selection process (I think USyd will look at it, but it's not vital for entry like UMAT).

You should focus on the 4Ps, but you can also focus on things like Market Segmentation as well (differentiation - mass, niche etc).

no study at all, all holidays !

Let me rephrase that then. Two weeks won't make too much of an impact on your UAI. If you continuously study throughout the year and take a 2 week break, you'll probably be a lot better off than one who crams in the 2 week holidays and essentially slacks off during the term.

no study at all, all holidays !

Although it's a bit hypocritical of me saying this since I did study these holidays, I find there's nothing wrong with having a break. 2 weeks study isn't gonna make much of a difference, so if you were at a stage where you were burnt out... then there's nothing wrong with not studying.

A lot of people think it's all about your internal rank. Well it's not. To me personally, the external HSC exam is what will differentiate you from a Band 5 or a Band 6.

    Need advice =)

Even if you have a low ranking you can still do well. I know last year with my 2U exam, I was ranked 22nd and my school dropped significantly in rankings (126 -> 250) but I still managed to get 90.

    Polynomials Question

Hey guys, Wondering if anyone could help me with this question: The equation x^3 + 3px^2 + 3qx + r = 0, where p^2 cannot = q has a double root. Show that (pq-r)^2 = 4(p^2-q)(q^2-pr). I've tried finding P'(x) and letting it = 0, but i don't know where to go from there. Thanks guys, in advance.

Thanks. Umm it was today. I didn't finish all the notes, but I did a fair few syllabus points. We're starting ER when we get back (already finished marketing, finance and management & change) but I like to work ahead.

    help? dilemma with teacher.

I'd secretly get another teacher (preferably from another school - through a friend maybe?) to remark your piece and see what he/she thinks. If there is a substantial difference, then I would consider taking it to the Board of Studies, if not, then well unfortunately things didn't go your way.

There are two types of Catholic Schools, systemic catholic and independent catholic. Independent Catholic - you'd be looking at paying $5000 minimum per year. Systemic Catholic - you'd be looking at paying $3000 max for Year 12 (depending on the area - some might be $5000) What's the...

My school's ~ $2000 - $3000 a year, and most catholic schools are. True, although at my school it's policy that teachers who teach the top maths class dedicate time for extra lessons for accelerated students.

In a business plan, can your hypothetical business be a large one?

Yes, when establishing a business, the owner has two clear options, either to be incorporated or unincorporated. Also the term 'start-up costs' do not refer specifically to unincorporated businesses. It costs to establish a business regardless of its structure. You might want to talk about the...
