    oblique assymptotes

Say you have a function, f(x) = g(x) + { c / h(x) } where f(x) is your function, g(x) is your oblique asymptote as h(x) goes to infinity and c is the arbitrary constant. In your above examples you need to use the division transformation first. That is the case for a linear oblique asymptote. I...

    trusting hsc students

Wasn't the question aimed more towards the trustworthiness of HSC students at the OP's school, rather than those members of the forum?

    trusting hsc students

I suggest your devise an experiment to test your hypothesis on the untrustworthiness of HSC students, academic wise. Use the results as a statement against the altruism of humanity.

Creative Writing Help? (Infinite thanks and REP)

If you feel really strongly about the idea I think you can make it work. Also as Slyhunter said, focusing on a particular scene and the implications that follow might help with the short word limit and will probably come off better than a whole story in 500 words. But really, it's up to you.

Creative Writing Help? (Infinite thanks and REP)

500 words? That's like nothing, barely a short story. Creative writing for an area of study should relate to the area of study, though it doesn't have to be explicit. Always try and stay away from cliched ideas and themes and try something that you think relates in your own way. Look over the...

    Band 6

So you only really need about 70/120? That's not too bad. Yeah, I'm year 11, doing 3 and 4 unit this year. I guess I'm pretty bright and study shouldn't be too much trouble if I neglect my prelim subjects a little, because really, they don't matter compared to MX2 and is thats the really...

Ext 1 English Text-Dracula by Bram Stoker. Thoughts?

I thought it was great. I read it at the end of last year and we are also studying it this term for ext eng. When you are reading it, take particular notice of how the text reflects the culture and values of the context.
