lol, its not that hard to do though - just set it on record and pick a good spot.

    Laptops and uni.

Laptops aren't really useful to use at uni - it won't grant you much technical advantage (you need to use the uni computers to print things from anyway). It also gets to be annoying having it in your backpack; its more weight that you don't need and means you need to be more careful about how...

    Tafe NSW Question

If you're going to pay the fees then and there, make sure you have a credit or debit card or a cheque as they won't accept cash. If you want fee exemptions, bring proof of any benefits you recieve from centrelink (e.g your last notice of payment). Its also a good idea to bring proof of ID with...

    Timetable and Text books :)

I'm kinda in the same boat, it kills too because I do most of my assignments late at night which means I get about zero sleep if I have those early morning classes.:(

    Timetable and Text books :)

Unless you live close to UTS you really don't want classes that early - it kills to get up that early every morning, especially if you have an entire day of work after classes.

    Night Classes

You can go part time during a full time course, but I was told by the admin that there is a time limit by which full timers have to finish - around 1.5 times your normal finish time. So for a 3 year course, you have to finish within 4.5 years or not get a degree, for 5 year courses the limit is...

Semester 1: 2007 Buying & Selling Books Thread

You won't need a textbook for comparative social change, most humanities subjects are just using a reader from the unionshop (about 15 bucks).

    Timetable and Text books :)

You'll be able to pick your own class times however not all subjects will have multiple class times, and some subjects you will have to take. Generally though, you make your own timetable. With textbooks you'll generally find out in your first class, where you'll be given a student outline...

Don't feel silly, it is confusing [SMH]

How does the UAI ensure that there is ability in relevant areas? As it is now, you could quite easily gain entry into a science course with all humanities in your HSC or into an arts course with all sciences. Neither would be reflected in one's UAI. Submission letters also often entail more...

Don't feel silly, it is confusing [SMH]

If you can demonstrate your AP course satisfied the same criteria as a first year university subject in a similar area then you may get advanced standing. I would doubt you could get credit for it though, that usually only happens with previous tertiary qualifications.

    part time study

No. You need an entire years worth of study for that, and 18cp a sem isn't enough to have a year of tertiary studies. Depends on the course - some are listed as FT/PT, which means you can shift between modes. Others are strictly full time only.

    part time study

Oh you can transfer, but you won't be using your university results to do so - you would be using nothing but your UAI. Remember too that part time is 12cp a semester or less, which means that even if you studied full time the following semester you would not have enough for a full year's worth...

    part time study

You need 0.75 (3 subjects or 18cp per sem at most unis) to be considered full-time for concessions purposes, however you need a full loading over a year for it be considered for transfer purposes (48cp over one year - 24cp or 4 subjects per sem).

ONESTOPADMIN ==> What Is Ver And Att ????

I think the ATT stands for Attendance, as in 1 is a full-time course and 2 is a strictly part-time one.

UTS Semester 1 2007 Timetables and Subjects!

The reason there are so many classes in it as that it shows every possible class time for each subject. You will just be going to the one corresponding to a group number: e.g activity 15 at mon 12 - 2 and at thurs 2 - 5. Also I think with the science subjects you're supposed to do practicals...
