    from arts to comm

You could transfer from either and still get credit, you'll just have more or less credit awarded depending on how similar the subjects you do in your original degree are to the subjects you'd need to be doing in the degree you want to transfer to. From the look of those degrees you'd probably...

Uai of 53.9 + stat test of 78 = uni at UWS for me?

If you fulfill the criteria to get the RET rank to replace your UAI (which it seems like you do), then your RET rank will be considered just like a UAI of 63.90 - people who gained this UAI without the RET will not be considered to be above or below you. So your chances look good if the cut-off...

Business at another uni vs. UTS Insearch

Re: 回覆: Business at another uni vs. UTS Insearch If there are not enough places available then the people who didn't get high enough marks from their first year at uni/diploma/whatever then they won't get in. The majority of INSEARCH students get in though, so long as they maintain their WAM...

    Course/Preference Questions.

With preferencing the 3 doubles, I'd honestly just put what you want to get into because you don't know by how much or how little the cut-off will rise/fall. It also doesn't really matter which UTS degree you transfer from if you want to get into the double, so yes you can transfer from the...

    Help Me Please !!!

The first thing I think you should remember is that above all, that course is a BA Communication which involves study of the media, politics, sociology and culture. A business degree will involve alot of different things e.g business management, micro/macro-economics, accounting and what not...

    About EAS

The cut-off is simply a number representing the lowest ranking person who got into the course for that year. It is not created until after everyone has been considered for that course. So yes they will consider you.

    About EAS

Your UAI doesn't actually change in anyway whatsoever, however you need not take any action - you simply put USYD in your preferences or you don't. That is it. Some unis will, some won't. To find out which ones do, consult the EAS booklet on UACs website.

B Medical Science B Arts in International Studies

Regarding the International Studies course, the only essay subjects that are listed in the handbook is one subject on the culture of your country of interest and one sociology/politics subject. Everything else is either language study or the exchange itself. Regarding Medical Science and...

    About EAS

They did last year, it has a few leaflets inside and an offer of a scholarship as well - I'm unsure whether they'd be doing that this year though.

    About EAS

Broadway scheme is the EAS, each university gives the EAS a different name e.g UNSW - ACCESS, MQ - Lighthouse (or Jubilee) etc. Thus the universities all have different proccesses, some do allocation and some do bonus points and they are all to different amounts.

EAS bonus points for UNSW: anyone know how much it helps?

Yeah, each uni decides individually - but UAC doesn't release the details you submit to them for e.g if you put down 'i live in a shack in india during my hsc' 'i walked on a landmine' or whatever then the uni won't know that. I was explicitly told this by my university last year during...

?? Science - Psychology vs. Medical Science vs. Education ??

You could always do a BSci and major in Chem or Bio or Psych and then at the end of the 3 years you can make the decision on whether to do honours or do a post grad education degree. You won't lose anytime that way and you could do that at pretty much any uni.

EAS bonus points for UNSW: anyone know how much it helps?

Excepting the disadvantaged school scheme, the university is not advised of what your exact circumstances are so I imagine in that case all other people would recieve bonus points in equal measure. That is if they have changed to the bonus points method.

    Crime Fiction Seminar :

It seems to me that one of the things this topic revolves around is feminist theory and its application within crime fiction narrative. So you'd be looking at a variety of texts and analysing how the female is represented differently to men and to other women and how the context and values of...

is it 'illegal' to have my detective as the killer?!

I'd just like to note that it isn't quite correct to label postmodernist crime as a genre (or even a subgenre) as postmodernism is an artisitic and cultural movement, one that is designed to escape complete definition at that. Crime fiction can be read (and written) from a postmodern...

    A few questions about UTS...

With the lecture notes it varies from subject to subject - some will not have any whatsoever (unless you have some disability, then I think they arrange a taping for you) others will have the transcript online along with any slides. EAS bonus points for UNSW: anyone know how much it helps?

The EAS scheme when applied to UNSW can give up to ten points leeway with the cut-offs, depending on how many other EAS applicants there are for the course. UNSW usually publishes cut-off estimates for EAS applicants each year and if you search their site you might find the pdf detailing this...
