Re: Baydogg's Prediction Game Personally, I would rather underestimate then overestimate. Makes you feel better when they come out.

All nighter on BoS on dec16th

School is 350ish, cohort is 25ish, about 5-10 aren't getting ATAR's though. As far as I know the ranking is on the number of top bands, not how many students got them. According to the rankings, your school got 9 last year, mine had 8, but with a smaller cohort, and hence a higher ranking.

All nighter on BoS on dec16th

Last year, all our top bands bar 1 came from 1 person I think - like the smartest we've had in a decade. This year, we have the crappest cohort in a decade and will most probably get no top bands - not including me of course. Lets just say that the top mark in general maths for the trials was 30ish.

All nighter on BoS on dec16th

No, but it does indicate the quality of the cohort ( well last year's) and how irrelevant ranks maybe, like mine for example, in all classes, the 2nd rank more often then not has an assesment mark of <30. Rank of 448 ftw.

    The Paper

The examiner's had lots of spares and on the last day of my exams, they offered. It is self-scanned, but using this really smart photocopier thing which literally scanned the whole thing in 10 seconds.

Which subjects would you achieve the top band in?

Two and three unit maths and ancient history will be top bands. Physics is a strong possibility. English and history extension have a devent chance as well. Chemistry has no chance.

    What would happen if...

English and Ancient History are already marked as far as I know - my teachers have returned from marking, so those marks would already be entered into the computer.

    priority schools

Through the EAS system, you automatically get considered if you go to a psp school. However you never find out how many points you are entitled to under it. My guess is - the crapper your school, the more points for you. The systems for specific universities depend upon the location of the...

    priority schools

Well I go to Wellington High School. You don't choose whether you use the points or not, you just automatically get considered under the EAS system without having to fill out any forms. And whether or not you stay at the school should not be based upon how many bonus points you are eligible for...

How many people are in your class?

Well I only did physics and History extension and neither of them had a 'Eunice' in them. We only meet up once a term anyway. Ironically and technically my distance ed classes were my largest classes.

    ATAR guessing Game

Guess: 93.45 - my pessimistic view Actual: Signed: Thecorey0 Hopefully I will prove myself wrong. I am eligible to recieve so many bonus points, that the result is basically negligible. The number is ultimately only a symbol of personal achievement.
