    Favourite Students' Quotes

Post your favourite quotes said by someone in your class this year. This happened in my English class last week: (some student randomly mentions chicken salt) (clueless Canadian teacher's like, 'What's chicken salt?') (we all laugh, then try to describe chicken salt) Student: Sir, what do...

Where can I get ASUS eee pc in a cheaper price?

The Eee runs OpenOffice.org, which is compatible with most MS Office stuff, except macros and a few really complex things. If you want you can install XP, but don't do that. (Yeah, I'm really unbiased - see my username.)

2009ers: How was your school day?

OK, to complete my day: I arrived home, found the Deputy PM's office had sent me three authentic WorkChoices propaganda mousepads, which went pretty well with the new quad-core computer I got this afternoon :D Then I found out that I got into the 2020 Youth Summit thingo. Really quite a good...

2009ers: How was your school day?

Day not yet complete, but so far I've arrived at 8am for Extension Maths, which was really boring because I was the only one who actually bothered to finish our inequations homework. In fact, I had it finished after our lesson on Monday. The other three were asking really obvious questions...

Best+Worst of Teacher Quotes and Habits

Our English teacher is a bit clueless. He's Canadian, and he tried to talk to us about politics: "Senators are appointed for life..." He also seems to think Christmas Island has no food, power or roads, and that we're the only country in the world that detains asylum seekers at all, and that in...

How much would the parties start paying them? :P

    Voting at 16

I think the idea of a test can be taken even further. We need to develop a Maturity Quotient test. It would be taken initially at the age of 10, then 15, 20, 25 and 30, then every 10 years then after. The result of your MQ test would be used to determine your eligibility to vote, get a drivers...

2009ers: How was your school day?

Today was fairly uneventful - get on bus, arrive, free, physics, free, english, talk from year adviser about how we have to take stuff seriously, maths. Tomorrow will suck: arrive an hour early for 3u maths, essay assessment task in english, then an hour of 2u maths. Three hours straight...

    3-unit Maths - Hard much

Chem was 79, IPT 81, and SDD was 87, I think. Not brilliant. There's a kid in my 3u class who's accelerated from year 10. He's pretty smart, being the other person in the class of four who actually does significant work :P

    Year 11 Half Yearly Exams

T2W3 apparently, although I've been told that could change. I'm only doing four exams though :P Anyone else at a school where IPT doesn't have a half-yearly? Friend of mine who does IPT noticed the absence of it and asked teacher, who confirmed that he's actually not doing an IPT half-yearly.

    Total Number of Assessments

25, including exams. Doing 9u FTW! :P I've even got a subject where I don't have an assessment until next term, which is nice.

    3-unit Maths - Hard much

I'm finding 3u easier than Year 10 Advanced. I suppose my Year 10 class was full of idiots :P I have had trouble remembering all that geometry stuff though, but it's not that hard after a while.

    Australia 2020 Youth Summit

I sure hope that was a joke, otherwise you've got something very wrong... I wonder when the names of the delegates will be publically released.

What's your fav subject so far?

My favourite at the moment is Legal Studies because I'm essentially a lawyer in my spare time :P It's so easy. 3u Maths is pretty good too in that it's challenging. Physics is a bit... meh, at the moment. English is sucking badly, but I suppose I need the essay writing experience.

    Australia 2020 Youth Summit

Perhaps on the face of it it's a joke, but you can't tell until afterwards. I applied anyway, because I like going places in aircraft. Particularly jet aircraft, now that Virgin Blue comes up Port Mac way. Even if it is completely ignored, the mere PR exercise is good in and of itself, IMHO.
