    Uai Of 65

Bump after 2 minutes... Firstly, do well in your exams ;) Secondly, investigate the alternative entry procedures available. See if you're eligible for any location bonuses, or if they offer any bridging courses. Also be aware that DFEE courses are often a few points lower than the...

    School Certificate to be scrapped

I don't think they should change it. The SC gives dropouts something to show employers, while those continuing on will do it easily. The SC isn't insanely difficult and to be honest if you're spending more than an hour a night studying for it you're studying too hard. (Of course if you're...

    Chemistry or Senior Science?

I thought you can't enter the HSC course for a two-unit subject without having first done the Prelim course...

    IPT database

I would suggest something simple like a customer records database. You have at least these tables: * Customers * Products * Transactions Each table should be self explanatory. Set up fields for foreign keys in each one, link them together, set up forms, and make a query and a monthly...

Who WON'T be 18 for schoolies?

Look at my sig ;) Acceleration FTW! I started school at the normal age of 6.

    Can someone please answer this:

Well, one-to-many means that one record in one table is linked to many records in another table. Each customer can make many transactions, but each transaction is only linked with one customer. Many-to-one means that there are several records linked to one record. For any one video in the...

    Radioisotope

Having thought about it after reading here I could have written it a bit better and done a bit more on impact on society. Rough outline of what I wrote: * Radioisotopes make a big impact in society * In medicine they are used for diagnosis and treatment * e.g. Tc-99m is used for diagnosis...

Do you have any more idea on what your database is going to be than that? Unfortunately I don't have my 2004 IPT files any more :(

    Girls in IPT?

I had one girl in my 2004 IPT class. We had some more in year 10 Comp Studies but they didn't do IPT or they left the school. Best girl in the class transferred to another school, got too stressful and dropped out after Year 11.

Difference Between A Social And An Ethical Issue?

Yes, copyright would be an ethical issue. It could also come under social issue depending on who it affects in terms of money etc. Also, good professional practice, even if not law, is also an ethical issue.

What anti virus do you use?, anti virus

Doesn't lag like Norton does, but then again doesn't detect any viruses either ;) Of course it's still one of the better free ones but that isn't saying much.

    Radioisotope

Well, if the case is that it's just neater, I really don't care as it all gets shredded and recycled in the end ;) I want to get 70-80% hopefully. For the radioisotope question in particular, I think I should get at least 5/7.

Who WON'T be 18 for schoolies?

I'm not finishing my HSC until 2009, and even then I'll still be two years too young. Sort of good in a way though. Not like I'd go to schoolies anyway, I'd prefer to stay home.

    Radioisotope

Well, I think a marker who marks the same text differently on the basis of neatness deserves the sack. Many of the smartest people around are messy writers, like myself.

    Multiple Choice Answers

I don't know my exact answers - how did you get your MC sheets out? From reading the answers, I know I didn't make the 810/900mL mistake, and I think I got around 12-13/15.

    Radioisotope

Yes, they do give you X out of 7 marks. It's just an issue of whether the marker judges you have answered the question not just correctly, but well. What I mean by 'extra marks' is that writing for three pages won't guarantee 7/7. And, I don't think anyone cares about how neat it looks...

    Girls in IPT?

I posted the official enrolment stats over in the SDD forum. Summarised: around 30% of IPT students are girls = around 1300/5000 I think. Go have a look if you want.

    Raw Marks?

I'd say at least 70. I hope that ends up equating into a nice HSC mark, I haven't done too well in recent assessments. =/

    Radioisotope

You're allowed to do it, but as others have said it's not going to get you any extra marks. They always give you enough room to get full marks for a question. Don't write three pages when there's only one page of lines.
