    Reliance on laptops/computers for Law?

For the same reason why so many law kids have Blackberrys. A) They'll scramble for any perceived possible advantage. B) They're self important douchebags and love technology which increases their own sense of self importance.

    Reliance on laptops/computers for Law?

Most colleges on campus have their own computer labs. You'll find alot of people in law take notes with their laptop, but you don't need to, and personally I think that it's useless to take a computer to class anyway. You may want to buy a cheap desktop computer when you come down here, cheap...

macquarie law transfer to unsw law?

I could play my wii, or my 360, or my P3.... or my PS2. Ahhh, spoiled with choice. I'm fudging my way through Trauma Center at the moment :)

    Subjects in an Arts/Law degree

I *think* you may be able to sneak some Asian Studies courses in there. If you want to experiment a little bit, you could always try the straight LLB, you get eight non law electives of any discipline subject to usual course pre-requisites and then if you don't like the non-arts subjects you're...

    accomodation offers?

You're just stressing. If you're a first year undergraduate and you applied you're guaranteed a place. There's a chance that some colleges have just been slow to send out offers of acceptance. The university is shut down until the 5th and the head of Bruce has been away for the last month...

    Most Sociable Uni?

In NSW, the University of New England. Put a few thousand young people in a small town with nothing better to do than party, and what do you think will happen? Colleges in particular are really well supported there, with local pubs providing over $30,000 to them in sponsorship money annually.

    commerce/law at ANU

    - Realistically you won't travel home every weekend. I tried going home as often as I could in first year, but for the last two years I've only visited my parents over Christmas. - Canberra is a fairly good place to study. Some people can't stand it, but most people, particulary those of us...

UAI - UNSW combined law for 2009ers

Universities are getting transitional funding to ameliorate the loss of fee paying places. Whether UNSW will take fewer students is anybody's guess, but if they do, it does show the irony of the policy.

ANU or transfer at USyd or UNSW

My point was that your question has been answered countless times, in countless threads. Anyway... Pros of Doing an Arts Degree - You don't have to move. - You'll save money, because you won't need to move out of home immediately. - You won't lose any time, because you'll be able to get...

The Be-All, End-All Comparison between UNSW and USyd

I hope you're in year 12. I'd be surprised if a law student at a prestigious school like Usyd fell into the trap of making such a blatant logical fallacy.

    Law - credit average

It depends on the university. You should look up the marking policy of your faculty. Some faculties like Syndey hand out 40%+ distinctions and high distinctions combined, and another 40% of credits. Others aren't as generous.

    clerkship questions

From my experience during clerkship interviews, top tier firms didn't seem overly concerned with my transcript (and I have my fair share of Ps). Government departments were a different matter though.

To cater or not to cater

There aren't many first years at uni-lodge one. There won't be many first year undergraduates at uni-lodge two either, apparently they're targetting post-graduates. There are heaps of first years at B&G and Fenner though.
