I can't say for your university, but generally you'd be doing around a 20hr week. If you enrol in tutes early you may be able to squeeze in a day off, but that can change from one semester to the next.

You don't have to pay at all. Everything they run is poorly organised except the law ball and membership isn't worth $2 let alone $10. To answer your question though, I think that membership is yearly.

IR is just a specialised arts degree. You can do all of the subjects you would otherwise have done in an IR degree in an arts degree, but you won't graduate with a B Arts (International Relations).
