    moving to canberra!?

Are you sure about that? :D - All first years at college are new. I'd say only 20% of undergraduates are townies. - It's hard for a few, but most people cope. - It's a great social experience, but it's not as wild as movies make it out to be. There's no hazing, but most of us are...

    Stupid Law Bellcurving

He's in the ACCC grad program. After that he'll probably hatch an evil plot to take over the world. It's worrying because if he decides he wants to, he probably will...

For those who wanted numbers: ANU USYD (raw average stats, not a faculty specified curve per se, electives are more generous, core courses less so) I couldn't find either UTS' or UNSW's. Anecdotally, most core subjects grade to the lower end of the range, while electives are more...

    ANU or Macq???

If you intend to transfer, go to Maq. You're going to be disappointed if you come down here with the expectation of getting a high credit average in law.

I know all 8 Bruce people who did the course failed. Some of these guys have fairly high averages too.

    Stupid Law Bellcurving

Yeah I know. Economics courses in particular have that problem. Subjects like Game Theory have a fail rate of over 50%, and these are bright kids who are flunking out. I just don't know how we can remain competitive in the job market against kids from Sydney universities which have easier...

    Stupid Law Bellcurving

This year's university medal in law had an average just below a HD. Is that harsh bell curving gone to excess? I personally think we should be rewarded a little more to remain competitive with Sydney law schools that just hand out distinctions and high distinctions.

Under the requirement- do i have any chance?

Don't say that to the social justice crowd.

    Law transfer

That doesn't tell you much, I know, but anything more would be speculation. My gut tells me that you'd be competitive with a credit average. I don't know how the uniTEST works, but just take it regardless and see how you go.

The Official PS3 vs. Xbox 360 Thread

I think the PS3 is a better console full stop. It has free internet play and blu ray compatibility. I also prefer Sony's exclusive developers (Insomiac, Sucker Punch and Naughty Dog) over Microsoft's (Lionhead (Fable 2 is arse), Epic and Rare (What happened!!?)). The Playstation also has some...

Yeah, I really like the French scene. Blut aus nord, Vlad Tepes and Mutilation are great too.

    Quick question about ANU

Universities Admissions Centre (NSW & ACT) Uac Undergraduate There's a late application option. Do it ASAP. If you want somewhere to live, I'd apply for accommodation too (applications aren't binding until you sign off on a contract) University Accommodation Services

Under the requirement- do i have any chance?

    1) The uniTEST is on, the date is listed on the site as the 7/1/2009. 2) No, I don't think a l337 essay can. Do the uniTEST and failing that, transfer in. It's not hard to do, particularly with a UAI so close to the cutoff anyway.

    Quick question about ANU

I just mean that it's a really tricky degree, there's quite a high fail rate ;)

Virginia Bell appointed to High Court

... and here I was thinking that parochialism was dead. I suppose New South Wales needs something to be proud of, considering your "superbly" drafted legislation.
