    criticise my syllabus summary!

Actually, I'm quite happy with my income from tutoring. It's just that I spend faster than I earn.

    criticise my syllabus summary!

I'm tutoring both Prelim and HSC, and I never had a proper Prelim textbook. (I used Excel which was utterly, utterly hopeless)

    criticise my syllabus summary!

It's worth it. Although Context is pretty good too. I bought the 4th Edition Preliminary CC today at 25% discount because the cover was slightly creased. Moral: Crease cover for discount.

Re: dot point drama It's tricky to find relevant information for this dot point. This thread is asking the same question. Casmira provided some useful links. Hope it helps.

The internet and its impact on your UAI mark

2005. Yes, ADSL. 6-10. 4 for educational, 4 for personal. 95+. 98.20. Probably negative. MSN was always open.

    Coaching rates?

Click here for information on my Chemistry tutoring offers. If you drag along a couple of friends I can make it $30 for two hours. Is that reasonable? :p (Sorry for advertising here. I'd PM you, but you need to go to User CP, options, and enable Private Messaging first.)

Year 11 is a lot of memory work. For example, remembering your solubility rules, formulae and names of compounds and polyatomic ions, etc. You are also taught the basics such as writing and balancing equations, and atomic structure. It gets tedious at times, but it is important that you grasp...

If all your friends where single

Most of my friends are single, and it doesn't really have any effect on me. I'm happy in my relationship, they're happy being single. Win-win for all.

    criticise my syllabus summary!

Absolutely. I forgot to add that in all short-answer questions, write equations and draw diagrams or flowcharts to clarify your answer. Pluvia - I think Ben would be using Chemistry Contexts and Chemistry Pathways. I assume our school's not dumping our new Contexts after just one year...

    How do u study?

It's better to be consistent, but everyone crams, and there's a difference between good and bad cramming. Good cramming is say, having your essays collecting e-dust on the computer, and re-reading or memorising them at 10 pm, the night before the exam. Bad cramming in this case would be...

    !!!last question on ethanol!!!

The equation Riviet posted is photosynthesis. With sunlight, carbon dioxide and water, glucose is made in plants, and oxygen released. In some plants (wheat and grain plants) this glucose will be used in the fermentation process to make ethanol. When the ethanol is used as a fuel, it undergoes...

    Tutition [Your Opinion]

Never get class tutoring for English. It's much too vague and impossible to concentrate on any specific area of study. The effectiveness of tutoring depends on the individual. Some perform better in a competitive environment - a class, while others prefer to have the teacher focus on only...

    how to store jewellery

I use a wooden jewellery box (around the size of a small lunchbox) which has separate compartments. With the jewellery I can't fit in there I have another couple of slightly smaller wooden boxes.
