How hard is 4 units maths?

They meet at infinity... Polynomials are easy... I hate conics though..

    Really Hard Reduction Question

Define I_n=\int_0^\frac{a}{b} x^n \sqrt{a-bx} dx Where n\ge0 and a,b>0 Find a forumla for In in closed form in terms of a, b and n. 'Closed form' -- using powers and indices and factorial notation. Thanks guys =D

How hard is 4 units maths?

It's not too bad... after all it helps with 3U performance (provided that you actually do work)

    Teachers doing essays for you

Yeah it's all good for internal assessments and stuff... But if I get anything that I hadn't seen before, then I'm stuffed cos I wouldn't know how to structure my response, you know what I mean?

    Teachers doing essays for you

My English teacher kinda does a similar thing... he gives a structure to follow in exams that other classes do not necessarily receive from their respective teachers, and handouts of ideas/techniques etc (during the term, NOT before an exam)... Have to admit due to it, in Year 11 didn't learn...

    Integration

Uhh, I don't understand what you did above... How did you get to that?

    Integration

Hello, here's a question that my teacher couldn't do.. :( could someone please do it? thanks If n is a positive integer, find in terms of n the three possible values of \int_\frac{\pi}{2}^\pi cosnx dx Thanks

    Questions from Coroneos' 100 integrals

Yeah it's good practice if you get them to the answer at the back... My teacher was impressed apparently that I did that. It is annoying doing it though...

    Questions from Coroneos' 100 integrals

I did them all... took me a god damn week to get the answers to match with the back of the book. But got all 100 done =D

    Last Integration

Hi, This is the last integration question I'll be asking for some time now... (because this is the 2nd last question from the exercise that I'm working through) Thanks if you can help me.. \int_0^1 \frac{dx}{(4-x^2)^\frac{3}{2}} Thanks

    losing weight.

How can you lose weight? Weight is the force on a mass due to gravity =P

    Integration

Hi guys, Seriously last question until next week :P... \int_0^\frac{\pi}{2}(1+\frac{1}{2}sinx)^{-1}dx Tried letting t=tan\frac{x}{2} and miserably failed :( Thanks

    Integration

I figured it out... I had to take limits, this would be a nice 'novice separator' question in a trial lol...
  15. C

    Integration

Yeah I did that... But then when I let u=tanx, the upper limit is pi/2, which doesn't exist for tan. So..?

    Integration

Thanks Trebla... my bad... Sorry guys but another question... This one's annoying as when I'm trying to fiddle around with trig integrals, I have to deal with tan(pi/2) not being defined and cot0 not being defined :( \int_0^\frac{\pi}{2} \frac{dx}{cos^2x+2sin^2x} Thanks

    Integration

Hi, I tried it that way, but I get ln0 for some reason when I evaluate it, which does not exist. How do I work around this? Thanks

    Integration

Thanks for that... I have one more question :( As you can tell it's the weekend, and I'm working through exercises... \int_1^2 \frac{(x+1)dx}{\sqrt{-2+3x-x^2}} Thanks

    Integration

Hi Thanks for that... I have another one from hell :( Could someone please help me? Thanks \int ln(x+\sqrt{x^2-1})dx And yes this is the correct one, I've double checked!
