    Mechanics Q

Hello, could someone please do this for me? Thanks A particle moves in a straight line with retardation which increases uniformly with the distance moved. Initially the retardation is 5ms-2 and when the particle has moved a distance of 12m the retardation is 11ms-2. Find the distance moved by...

    Transistors

The syllabus doesn't explictly state that you need to know how they work. But my Physics teacher said that it's one of those borderlines things so it's better off knowing how they work incase they ask it.

    How hard are your exams?

Our 3U exams seem to be relatively hard. I think the average was around 50% for the half yearlies. Top mark was 93% and I got 2nd at 90%. Then the next highest mark was like 80%. Obviously a nice spread means a hard exam.

Our school makes 2U exams hard for some reason. The 2U half yearly's average was about 55% or something I think.

    Dear CityRail

Well when they sent a C set down the Bankstown Line vandals burned the last two carriages at Villawood. That's why C5 (a set number) only has two carriages, which is always connected to another 4 carriage C set to make it a 6 car consist.

    Dear CityRail

That's not true. Also on the South/Inner West Line C sets (chopper controlled silver cars that are a/c'ed) and Tangaras run on the line. On weekends you'd probably get alot more a/c'ed trains.

    Dear CityRail

True Sector 2 does get Milleniums (the newest fleet on the network) but at the same time, they don't have that many of those trains (there's only like 14 4-car sets, so 7 8 car consists in total, which is what it operates as most of the time). And also, some Milleniums from Sector 2 have been...
