No, I wasn't talking about Invision. The code behind vB 3.5 is, in some cases, quite different to that used in vB 3.0.x.

We haven't upgraded yet primarily for two reasons: 1. Our vBulletin licence has expired and will need to be renewed for entitlement to upgrades. 2. We'll have to redo all of our custom hacks and template changes, which will take time. Hopefully it'll happen sometime over the summer break.

Last night. An unfortunate side-effect of having ads 'out of the way' up the top is that people ignore them. This is just an experiment to test Google's recommended ad location for forums. We'll see how it goes.

I suspect the error is caused by the "similar threads" box displayed at the bottom of the page - which searches the database for threads like your own and links to them. The error occurs when the search generates too many results. I'll disable that box and we'll see how things go.

I'll help start the ball rolling... :) Any details on the 'statistical feedback' that (senior?) markers or the SOM receive progressively throughout the process? Know what they're given? Is any reference made to marking criteria other than those published with the official exam reports...

They're a bit more flexible with those entry criteria now - so long as you still do reasonably well in the course (e.g. top 10-15%).

I haven't read all of the other replies - just responding for myself as requested via PM. You'd certainly still have time to play weekend sports. I generally wouldn't ever do any study on weekends (unless we have an assignment or an exam is upcoming). There could potentially be time issues...

The system is the same for all courses. You could potentially beat the student who was ranked first internally if they perform exceptionally poorly with regard to their major work and you perform exceptionally well.
