Tried to upload this to the resources section yesterday, but it didn't work... So here it is. I have the solutions but they haven't been scanned. If you need them then PM me and I'll see if I can have them scanned. And there's a small error in this paper. Question 2(b)ii should read...

    Integration reduction formula

Why is the integral of tann-2x.sec2xdx = tann-1x/(n-1) and the integral of cotn-2x.cosec2xdx = cotn-1/(n-1) ? How am I supposed to work this out? Thanks

    Physics Half Yearly Questions

Re: I screwed up my half yearlies What was your exact response? Could you type it up here? If you stick with your teacher's way of explaining it, you MUST say that the AREA of the coil is parallel to the magnetic field, otherwise you wont get the marks in the HSC external examination. Also...

    Dear CityRail

When the East Hills line goes to Central and goes through the City Circle it usually becomes a South Line train, and vice versa. So yes that's why a delay on the East Hills line would affect the South Line.

    Alkanols

Okay thanks... Ahh crap I wrote in the test that intemolecular forces and thus boiling pt changes. I wrote that more energy is needed to break bonds then crossed it out!!!! and wrote something a little more general.. I hope I get the marks lol.

    1 Yr Accleration?

Our school offer acceleration for 2U and 3U (ie. all or nothing)... I think it's fine, but if you are considering doing 4U, I think it may help to do the 3U and 4U course at the same time because I find that 4U helps considerably with 3U. For example, I used to get around about Rank 10-15 in...

    rounding off.

That's for Maths, not Chemistry or Physics, or any HSC level sciences for that matter. Yet again you've been signature whoring to get people to sign up to your services by giving your absolutely rubbish advice. Stop it! Now, you *should* round to the sig fig given in the question, but at HSC...

    Blade Runner

Hello, Just looking for some advice... Would everyone agree with me when I say that: Film noir such as the futuristic style combined with elements of darkness through the movie that symbolise ambiguity about current and future economic situations and state of humanity has made it a valued text...

The "I didn't go well in my half yearlies" Thread

Re: I screwed up my half yearlies Maybe it will... For example if you ever approach her in real life and she's near a door, then she might stick your fingers near the hinges of a door and break your them using the Torque provided by the door... In that case it would certainly help her ;) Yeah...

The "I didn't go well in my half yearlies" Thread

Re: I screwed up my half yearlies Also, the definition of torque is "a measure of the effectiveness of such a force that consists of the product of the force and the perpendicular distance from the line of action of the force to the axis of rotation", so your teacher obviously doesn't know the...

The "I didn't go well in my half yearlies" Thread

Re: I screwed up my half yearlies Assuming you are referring to the radial magnetic field, that is correct! Torque is the turning moment/effect of a force... So the torque is a maximum when coil is perpendicular to the magnetic field. Think of F=BILsinθ, according to your teacher the coil...

    Trial Papers

There's also Heffernan trials I think (although I think they may have stopped making them, not sure). Apparently our school gave the 2U one and everyone bombed out, lol.
