what did you get jetblack? 96 aligned would like = 91/92ish raw wouldnt it? a state rank in bio suddenly seems achievable - or was that a one-off?

is physics double-marked? coz its untouched. are the marks you got whole - or are some 1.5/3 for example?

haha - i know. i dont know if the marker was trying to be phonetic but leave it to a maths teacher to mispell. atleast they caught the mistake - thats reassuring in a way. there are lots of markings. wow.

wow. without a re-check on q8 you would have got 2 instead of 4. can you post physics next. :)

double marking. e.g. 13 and 12 in an essay gives 12.5

+1. The marking must be so harsh. take chem - using board of studies band descriptors, 38.64% of candidates got a B5 or B6. Meaning approx that 61% or so received a raw mark of less than 55! so, most likely more than half the state FAILED chemistry this year. :chainsaw:

im no genius - but i'd say 107/8 ish - the marks tend to align a lot less as they get better. what do you think you got for your 99? 118/119?

my guess is about ~ 92/93. you got 99 so why do you ask?

i do both - i enjoy bio more tbh. physics is such a drag but depends on what type of person you are. ask yourself what yr9/10 topics you liked - genetics/reproduction/nerves and stufss/evolution/dna&biotechnology/health&diseases = pick bio! or wave refraction/space/electricity = pick...

cem (genius modern marker/judge) said this too. 40% belonging is enough let alone 45%. i guess, they could make creative out of 10 or something or better yet get rid of it!:spin:

i cant believe that 61% in standard english places you in like the top 7/8% of people who did it. that means, at least 20,000 or so kids are getting <60%, of which probably most are failing. imo, our state is dumb. haha.

did you get individual marks and exam scripts? this data makes the hsc seem a lot easier. so, my thought process for mx1 in next years hsc will be 57/84, 57/84, 57/84.
